Pretty good idea, waiting to see how the wind is blowing before putting out a policy.

If he could take the least in stopping the Senate Immigration bill, I’d probably jump from Romney to Fred, even though Romney has the right position on that as well.

In fact, if either presidential candidate steps up and stops that bill, that’s my guy.

Well, he sounds better than rudy already. But I’ll stick with my candidate, he’s the best one on all fronts: Duncan Hunter.

Opposing abortion is the first step in a Presidential run?

(that’s just a poorly written headline)

Give me a candidate, without just lip service, who will fight the war on terror, do his level best to abolish abortion and send the illegals out of this country while securing the borders and he will have my vote. I’m not sure who that man is yet.

Opposing abortion is the first step in a Presidential run?

Many here seem to think so.

Nice. Now about McCain Feingold.....

He's already stated that it was a mistake, it did not work out like he thought it would and that it should be rescinded.

“he’s generating a ton of excitement in Republicans”

It looks like ANOTHER election where we vote for the person who can do the LEAST harm.

I read somewhere a recent quote from Thompson regarding McCain-Feingold; he all but said the law was a mistake. Then he wondered aloud about scrapping Mc-F and replacing it with a law that lifts campaign contribution limits and requires prompt public contribution disclosure on the internet.

To that, I not only say “Yes!” but “Hell, yes!” The answer to any campaign finance controversy is more freedom, not less. So remove the limits, require instant public disclosure. That way, the voters — and not some weenie incumbents — decide if a particular contribution is a problem.

I’m hoping Fred sticks to this course...it’s a winner.
