MSM Begins Coming Attraction Trailers for "Iraq Tet"
The Codd Letter | may 30, 2007 | Dr. Maurice Codd

Posted on 05/30/2007 2:04:52 PM PDT by beebuster2000

MSM began running trailers today for the upcoming “Iraq Tet”, the long awaited multi-media blockbuster scheduled to open this summer. The series is a joint production of Al Qaeda and major American TV and Newspaper companies.

The original title “Tet II” was rejected when polling revealed most under 30 Americans had no idea that Tet referred to a hugely successful production, which turned victory into defeat in Viet Nam over three decades ago.

Local Al Qaeda producers have been “green lighted” to begin “shooting” a reworked script. Al Qaeda’s American distribution MSM partners rejected the first script because it didn’t contain enough graphic footage including car bombs, gassings, hostage beheading and other highly sought after evening news leads.

Al Qaeda has agreed to produce 10-minute evening news lead-in every day leading up to a congressional vote on surrendering in Iraq. Backers of the production are hopeful that “Iraq Tet” will turn victory into defeat once again, as the original did in Viet Nam.

Some concern was voiced by critics since the currently running MSM series “Iraq, the Civil War” appears to be losing its legs as Sunni tribes in Anbar Province and elsewhere band with Coalition forces to hunt down and kill Al Qaeda. The resulting drop in killings has depressed ratings and has begun to hurt key congressional sponsors in the polls.

For the last 3 years we have been hearing from the liberal media about this “Tet Offensive” by the terrorists to occur this month or that month or the month after.

The sad part is this is all true so far as the MSM/AQ connection. Disgusting, but true.

This will be a bit different in that the funding for the war will need to be renewed in September, so the stage is really set for them to do their thing. Although I must admit I don’t know how they will be able to present a more negative view of the war than they have been for the last three years. I play a little game as I peruse the FR postings. As soon as I see a positive, or at least not overtly negative, story about the war in Iraq I look to see whose story it is, MSM or one of the news services that work directly with the military. You can bet your bippy if the story has anything but the most negative information that it is not a wire story from the MSM.

This is going to be a very frustrating period as our guys and gals struggle to do what they do so well and the MSM struggles to do what it does so well. We need to gird ourselves for the battle and it won’t be pretty.

Batten down the hatches, there’s rough seas ahead!

Tet Offensive and General Giap and Uncle Walter:

>>By 1968, NVA morale was at it’s lowest point ever. The plans for “Tet” ‘68 was their last desperate attempt to achieve a success, in an effort to boost the NVA morale. When it was over, General Giap and the NVA viewed the Tet ‘68 offensive as a failure, they were on their knees and had prepared to negotiate a surrender.

At that time, there were fewer than 10,000 U.S. casualties, the Vietnam War was about to end, as the NVA was prepared to accept their defeat. Then, they heard Walter Cronkite (former CBS News anchor and correspondent) on TV proclaiming the success of the Tet ‘68 offensive by the communist NVA. They were completely and totally amazed at hearing that the US Embassy had been overrun. In reality, The NVA had not gained access to the Embassy—there were some VC who had been killed on the grassy lawn, but they hadn’t gained access. Further reports indicated the riots and protesting on the streets of America.

According to Giap, these distorted reports were inspirational to the NVA. They changed their plans from a negotiated surrender and decided instead, they only needed to persevere for one more hour, day, week, month, eventually the protesters in American would help them to achieve a victory they knew they could not win on the battlefield. Remember, this decision was made at a time when the U.S. casualties were fewer than 10,000, at the end of 1967, beginning of 1968.<<

100% dead on accurate. I personally believe the democrat party’s mainstream media and al Queda are tacitly de facto allied for just such a Tet 2 campaign.

What is more disgusting is that I got to see this unholy union of western leftists/media and terrorists in Iraq personally.

After a bombing, CNN would have a story, with pictures, quotes from ‘police’, and video within 10 minutes. The thing is the Iraqi police were not even on scene! How would CNN know where and when to set up cameras without coordination with the terrorists?

What does this entail for the future of the media? Does the media even care?

I love that tag line. Now if only we could get the left to listen to reason and understand reality. But then they would not be leftists.

The President last week received a check for 100 billions dollars for the war. The war in Iraq cost 2 billion a week so this funding will last for another 50 weeks.

Your math is certainly correct, but they keep telling us it will run out in Sept. Even so, 50 weeks would take us into the next budget year and that would really be an opportunity for the Dems to mess with him.
