Got through.
Thanks for the English line!
His staffer sounded tired, but was polite and did note my zip code.

Nelson is probably against it becasue it is not a generoous enough amnesty plan.

I left him a message on the illegal immigrant hotline the other day. I told him i wanted to reach through the phone and shake some common sense into him. Glad to hear he’s seeing the light.

I just called Nelson and his people were very nice and said that he was eaning against the bill.
I urge other Florida residents to call and politely ask that the Senator reject as unworkable, the Amnesty bill.

Be polite, Please.

I just called his office and asked what the senator’s position was on this. The staffer said that he is waiting for opinion from his constituents before deciding his opinion on this. So I gave mine as I am one of ‘em.

You can use 1-800-417-7666 in any state, not just Florida, to contact your Senators on this issue.

I just called also. Nelsons staff was friendly and noted my zip code. I mentioned to the staffer that I thought it unethical the “direct” line to the senators offices. He said they recieved a lot of complaints about it and were issuing a press release about it. When I called Martinez’s office all I got was an answering machine.

I got through to Martinez’s office today. I’ve called them twice, a couple months ago and today on the issue. Got through both times. I’m basically saying, politely, that Martinez can’t win without the Republican base, and he is going to lose any possibility of support for re-election if he succeeds in passing this bill. I know, personally, that if Nelson votes against, and Martinez for, I’ll vote for Nelson and against Martinez. Nelson will be the second Democrat (that isn’t a personal friend running for local office)that I vote for. Martinez — despicable that he’s pushing this bill. Needs to know it’s a fight he should lay down on . . . at least you can sap their morale . . .

You're not the only one thinks that way...

Write on: Barletta knocks Marsicano off ballot

This issue transcends party.

You don’t see too many Democrats jumping on this train wreck either. They are getting an earful too. Everybody’s worked up. That’s why this should be an election year issue. Everybody has a vote. The illegal aliens will lose. That’s why Bush is trying to sneak one in this year.

Now in his third year in office, Martinez said he has never seen such a public outcry over a single issue.

Most of the calls and e-mails coming into his Senate office are from people who oppose the bill.

I’ve called a bunch of times. This weasel is still testing the wind. That means last minute arm twisting by the traitors will probably cause him to sign away his nation’s sovereignty.

I hope that Bill Nelson votes against amnesty. Mel Martinez is a total sell out as a supporter of illegal immigration and free trade at all costs. Nelson did impress me the other day by voting against a move in the Senate Intelligence Committee to tie the hands of the C.I.A. in questioning terrorists. As a result, Nelson is being attacked by the Moveonner Left blogs.
