DHS Secretary Michael Chertoff appeared on the Mark Davis Show on WBAP-820 in Dallas last week to promote the Bush-Kennedy immigration bill. In the process of explaining why he thinks the bill is swell, he discards basic crime-fighting logic.

I heard him on Hugh Hewitt last week. He’s a liar, an idiot, and a disgrace. He should not only be fired, but have his sorry, worthless ass dragged before Congress for an inquiry.
After listening to this interview on WBAP, I no longer think that Chertoff is qualified to hold his post. He’s supposed to know security, but he evidently doesn’t know the first thing about crime fighting or proven techniques to catch the crooks and terrorists he says he wants his agents tracking. If his boss had any sense on the issue, Chertoff would be looking for work.Gotta love that last sentence!Which means Chertoff’s is the most secure job in the world.
Chertoff’s background? Lawyer/Lobbyist. In the same firm as Lockheed Martin lobbyist/former homeland security general council as Philip Perry who is the son in law of Dick Cheney.

Unless the terrorist walks into the country over the Southern border and is declared instantly “legal” and not eligible for deportation, we’re perfectly safe.

Things are getting so much clearer now.
Housing the illegals is a job for Joe Arpaio, the sheriff of Maricopa County, Arizona (in which is located Phoenix). He would pitch tent after tent in the manner our fighting men were housed in WWII (in my home state which has a “four season climate”). Surround the tent cities with a tall chain link fence topped with barbed wire. If the illegals are so good at building things, have them pitch the tents and build the fences.
All we need now is someone in the federal government with the GUTS to round up the criminals to put in those tents. We know Michael Chertoff and George W Bush don’t have the right stuff for the job. While we are stuck with Bush until January 2009, Chertoff should be fired immediately.
The same bureauacracy that sent automatic visa extensions to the 9-11 hijackers six months after they were dead, will now be doing 24 hour “background checks” (sic) on 12-20 million illegal aliens.
What a farce. No, it’s beyond a farce. Considering that it means the end of our republic, it’s a tragedy.
