Why is President Bush giving gifts to Pelosi
June 1, 2007 | Ice Flyer

It what seems to be yet more acquiescing to the left wing President Bush has lowered his expectations of his own leadership ability by giving a gift to the left wing. Nancy Pelosi has just returned from Europe where she and a few others held meetings with global alarmists about the theory of Global Warming. She claims to then have "seen" it happening right before her eyes as she next visited Greenland.

Never mind what she was witnessing is natural, never mind that more and more of their supposed "Majority" of scientists and climatologists are challenging the theory and never mind that the theory has it's basis in flawed logic.

Pelosi and the left let out a collective (they like that word) shout for joy as President bush surrendered with his call for action even though it was a call to check the other nations who seem to get a pass on the issue. In fairness he wants us to have a summit for all nations to come to an agreement on carbon emission reductions. Science has deepened our understanding of climate change and opened new possibilities for confronting it.

“Science has deepened our understanding of climate change and opened new possibilities for confronting it. By the end of next year, America and other nations will set a long-term global goal for reducing greenhouse gases.”

While the above suggest nothing more than nations acting responsibly it was a gift to the extreme left. This is the blood-in-the-water the left enjoys and is emboldened by. It is clear that this will be used a "proof" that they are right on "Global Warming" theory. Furthermore, they will use it to continue to bash an already weakened leader who can come out of this slump simply by being the leader we all elected.

Nice guys finish last in the game of politics unless they have harnessed the ability to lead and frame the discussions which turn into the daily news.

There is still a lot of time for this President to reclaim his role, lead like he has shown he can and counter the intellectual dishonesty currently derailing him.

check this article out as well, posted at Drudge today 6/1/07, "Bush in U-turn on global warming"

I believe he plans to invite Gore to the Whitehouse for a joint press conference.

Bush Sr. may add Gore to the Bush/Clinton Tour '08.

The President decided that we write the rules of gas emissions rather than have the world dictate it to us as in Kyoto. Why most people on this forum cannot see this? Answer: Bush Hatred is running wild.

He may turn out to be as dumb as the Left says he is. But it won’t be for the reasons they say it.

That is not going to happen. As far as Pelosi goes, I would like to give her a gift.

George Bush has left the reservation. But was he ever on it? The Iraq war was a very tough move and so is the war on terror. But besides that I see just fat and flab.

The true test was Harriet Meirs. A conservative president would have jumped at a chance to put a solid conservative on the court. It should never have taken pressure to make him do it.

Yes, well, there is always a possibility that a whore will become a nun. Just don't make book on it.

They will dictate it if you have a democrat President who will accept Kyoto. The President is doing America a great favor by having America write the standards of gas emissions for the world to follow. This way we can assure that no President after him will accept Kyoto or anything similar to this destructive treaty.

Agreed. I think we so wanted to believe he was a conservative that we were willing to overlook several red flags.

Ted Kennedy’s Unlikely Role (???)

>>>>If you belong to the small band of conservative brothers inclined to support immigration reform, the Massachusetts senator is on your side. But what he says is likely to make you anxious, vexed, or even crazed. At times, Kennedy makes the compromise immigration bill sound like the latest loopy liberal legislation to provide welfare to the world.

Of course. Comrade Kennedy learned propaganda from the best.

How about this for President Bush great achievements:

President Bush destroyed 2 terrorist regimes in Iraq and Afghanistan, freed 50 million people. He is commanding the war in Iraq which is now the center front of the war on terror where our brave troops are killing and capturing the terrorists by the tens of thousands. He protected us since 9/11 and we did not have a terrorist attack in America since then.

President Bush cut our taxes which helped us out of recession, the Clinton recession, and thus has helped in giving us one of the best economic prosperity on record.

President Bush appointed two great conservative Supreme Court Justices.

President Bush is the most pro-life President since Roe Vs Wade criminality has been established.

President Bush is one of the greatest Presidents ever, despite the lies of the left wing lunatics, the frustrated Buchaninites and faux right wing nuts and the left wing media that says otherwise.

God bless President Bush. God bless our brave troops. God bless America.

Most conservatives have long ago stopped trying to understand why Jorge does anything............nor do we give a rat’s ass.

Impeach Bush, then send the SOB to Mexico to be with his constituents.
