Conservatives also rebelled when he nominated that old unprepared lady for the supremes also. He withdrew that one quickly and put in her place a more real choice.
Good morning and the very best to you and yours.

Sometimes listening to, or reading Pat makes me scream at what I consider are his crazy beliefs. Other times, I shout and holler my agreement. This time, it’s the latter.
I actually don't believe that. From what I can see here in DC, this is mostly being driven by big business donors who repeat mantras to themselves thinking it will make things true. Its odd to see here in DC. A room full of Republicans, with most concerned about this crappy bill, but the richest donors are the ones who get listened to.
I would urge every Republican to change their party affiliation to "Declines to State" or the local equivalent. You will still be able to vote for the less filthy candidate of your choice and you may vote on any recall or any referendum, thus will suffer no loss of franchise.
Actually, that's wrong.
They didn't want the base to have a stick in their eye.
They wanted to speak to the MSM and the RAT leadership, in code, to tell them not to worry, without letting the dumb base in on the story.
Just for the record, Pat is a POS.
No! I won’t have you slurring feces like that.
[For President Bush has attacked his own loyalists for a lack of patriotism. “If you don’t want to do what’s right for America,” he said of opponents of the Bush-Kennedy immigration bill, “if you want to scare the American people, what you say is the bill’s an amnesty bill. That’s empty political rhetoric, trying to frighten our citizens.”]
What a disappointment this President of the U.S. is become.
The thing is, the significant electoral politics takes place at the nomination primary and GOP State Committee election level. If one leaves the party, one leaves it to the squish corporate parasites.
I feel it is time to “Lock & Load” at home.
I have two pistols, a Sig 226 (.40 cal) and a Ruger 22mm.
I am thinking about a pump Shotgun, and a rifle or two.
I assume for the shotgun, I would get a 12-gauge, with a relatively short barrel for home defense. Any brands/models to recommend?
There are so many different rifle calibers, I’m not sure what I should look at. I want something I can hunt local deer with and something that would allow me to hold the perimeter of our 4 acres if needed.
Also, cost of ammo is a concern. I’ve purchased pistol ammo from Georgia Ammo, so I’m not opposed to buying bulk on the Internet.
I will go to the range to practice and have been around guns my entire life. I just want to go ahead and get some of these before someone in Washington decides that I don’t need them.
Thanks for your help.
p.s. I am also researching at www.thefiringline.com
My wife thinks I’m nuts for yelling at the TV because she says it doesn’t change anything and I tell her “Yes, it does, it makes me feel better.” But what really feels good, is to take the TV out to the desert, pretend to see some slime bag politician on the screen lying to the public as always...and then the joy of locking and loading my 1878 .45-70 breach-loader and blowing the TV to bits with it. Thank goodness we seem to have a never-ending supply of old TV’s and old computer monitors.
[His free-trade zealotry has led to five straight record trade deficits. While America’s economy is now growing at under 1 percent, China’s is booming at 10 percent. His refusal to defend and secure the borders is well-nigh impeachable. His compromises with Teddy Kennedy on No Child Left Behind have doubled the size of the Department of Education without any appreciable gain in test scores. His “Big Government Conservatism” marks him as his father’s son, not Reagan’s heir.]
The whig party reminds me of today’s republican party, moderates that appeal to no one, and they disappeared because of it.
Because of the drastically increasing cost of ammo, choose a caliber that makes economic sense to reload or buy in bulk on the internet, then choose your guns based on the cost of ammo. I have inherited my ancestors’ 1878 .45-70 trapdoor and a Springfield .30-40 Krag from the Spanish American war. Ammo for these two run well over a dollar per round whereas I can buy ammo in bulk for my .45, my .30 carbine and my British .303 for around 20 cents a round. In our area, even .22’s now cost twice what they used to.
Once this rather mild protest is ignored, and after a few years then "Lock and Load!"(As the man says.)
Pukeannan?
So, are you starting your sophomore or your junior year of high school this Fall? Just wondering...
Exactly
The next election will be a landslide for the socialists (I.E. dems) as the GOP base storms off totally disillusioned and disapointed with the repubs. I will vote for Mickey Mouse.
