Russia succesfully tested new misile R-500, the capacity of which allows to destroy any defense system including most recent perspective ballistic missile defense systems. Deputy Prime Minister Sergei Ivanov said that R-500 was a high-accuracy missile, capable of destroying ballistic and air defense systems. Ivanov said the missile was a new version of the Topol-M, first commissioned in 1997 and known as the SS-27 in the West, but one that can carry multiple independent warheads. Existing Topol-M missiles are capable of hitting targets more than 6.000 miles away...

we have a hard time hitting a missile with a missile, but they are going to hit the missile that is chasing the missil with a missile?
I’ll believe it when I see it.

Ok, so if that's the case the Russians shouldn't be at all concerned about our ABM systems stationed in Europe.
Right Vlad?

Russia is getting to be a smaller, more compact target. Perhaps they are right to be apprehensive. The USA wouldn’t do that to a potential commercial market but some other parties might.

It is actually a container for missiles. That’s how they try to ‘beat’ our defenses.

Isnt that what they said in the 80s and 90s? The Russians, like the Arabs, have always talked a much bigger game than they possess.

Time for him to head for Crawford, TX for some brisket and spare ribs, again. Didn’t Bush look Putin in the eyes and discovered that the man had a soul and was trustworthy?

Chruchev would be proud in knowing that his promotion of deception of strength he used tactically in the ‘60’s is still a viable option for the weaker entity in Moscow years after his death.
