Until his immigration debacle he was not a lame duck.
Now I a lifelong Republican look at him as a lame ass duck.

He's going to have to apologize to us. Odds are good after he bothers to read what the legislative proposal includes.
It's pretty obvious he has not read it and instead depended on a number of advisors at the White House.
I suspect that guy who just jumped ship is barely 10 minutes of being discovered to have assured "W" that the "compromise" was so powerful no one could oppose it.

I had the pleasure of knowing Michael when I was back in Memphis. We shared a common friend, Saul Brown, an old press photographer who had photographed most every famous person of the 20th century. Mike is also a great friend of Paul Shanklin.

I suspect that guy... assured "W" that the "compromise" was so powerful no one could oppose it. One would think that Bush would be more in tune to the reality of alienating his base supporters. It was Bush 41 advisor Lee Atwater who famously asked regarding conservatives: "Where are they going to go?"
Of course Bush 41 then promptly lost reelection to an Arkansas con man when Ross Perot won 19% of the national vote. Indeed the conservatives did find somewhere else to go.
Like father like son, both Bush 41 & 43 would rather pal around with Teddy Kennedy and Bill Clinton than with the conservatives.

Has George seen this? If not, is there some way we can give him the bird?

“When in the past has he apologized for name calling?”
Yeah, that ain’t gonna happen. And let’s not forget the Senators who are also attempting to shove this down our throats.
I don’t need an apology, I need this bill to die a lurid death.
And then I need the immigration laws strengthened and enforced.
