Iranian Flow Of Weapons Increasing, Officials Say

Iran has increased arms shipments to both Iraq's Shiite extremists and Afghanistan's Taliban in recent weeks in an apparent attempt to pressure American and other Western troops operating in its two strategic neighbors, according to senior U.S. and European officials.

In Iraq, Iranian 240mm rockets, which have a range of up to 30 miles and could significantly change the battlefield, have been used recently by Shiite extremists against U.S. and British targets in Basra and Baghdad, the officials said. Three of the rockets have targeted U.S. facilities in Baghdad's Green Zone, and one came very close to hitting the U.S. Embassy in the Iraqi capital, according to the U.S. officials.

The 240mm rocket is the biggest and longest-range weapon in the hands of Shiite extremist groups, U.S. officials say. Remnants of the rockets bear the markings of Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps and are dated 2007, those sources said. The Tehran government has supplied the same weapon, known as the Fajr-3, to Hezbollah, the Shiite Muslim Lebanese militia.

Sen. TED KENNEDY led a post-WATERGATE Democrat Congress into cutting off all our funding for the then Free South Vietnamese to fight for their own Freedom with, just like he’s pushing hard to do again to the still Free Iraqi people.

This when Sen. TED KENNEDY has known better from the very begining of the Vietnam War, having been shown directly in person what the Fight for Freedom there was really all about:

"Be assured it will take much longer. Not all of us will let it just happen. If it takes a civil war or a military coup this country will not go silently into the night and everyone of else should be committed to stand up and be counted when the time comes to fight for the very existence of this nation."

God, I sure hope so..........

“Bush doesn’t do borders.”

Ha! Imagine him trying to justify securing Iraq’s borders when he refuses to secure our own. His hands are tied, he can do neither. In the meantime, our soldiers are dying and their families here at home are vulnerable to any terrorist who decides to waltz across the border. So much for “doing everything in my power to protect this country”. But hey, at least he’s “fighting them over there, so that we don’t have to fight them here.”

The United States, possibly with help from Israel and the UK, should bomb Iran’s oil pipelines, refinery, storage tanks, nuclear sites, and military installations beginning “yesterday”, and keep bombing until they have been pulverized.

Too few troops, too many Bushies, not enough. Not Enough could sum up what the Bush Family has done for the Conservative Movement.
Don’t count Newt out.

I guess the only problem with that scenario is that the US, UK and Israel, to date, don’t have the backbone to do what you ask. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for it, but no one has the nerve to do it. I guess God will have to do it as he promised in Ezekial 38 & 39.

Maybe it’s time we mined the mountain passes that lead from Iran?

Re your post 13, I wouldn't say that the U.S. economy goes to hell in a few years, but within a decade, yeah.

I feel sorry for those of you who are young because you and your children will be hit and hit hard.

If this happens, I can see an uprising and it won't be by the immigrants.
