Amen! But be warned, they will try again. Elections have consequences, and it never should have gotten this far.

By the way, Senators Sessions and Cornyn are HEROES for what they did to effectively stall this bill until the opposition could catch up to it.

Sessions, Cornyn and I think Dorgan deserve credit IF it’s killed for the second time in two years. But I don’t trust this Congress not to try and take it up again when they think no one is looking. just because reid said he’d pull it, doesn’t mean he will.

Sessions has been great from start to end though. Dorgan’s amendment was poisen to the business lobby. And Cornyn unlike Kyl has actually hung tough. I must admit some surprise. While he and Kyl are more liberal then I am on a guest worker program, I would have pegged Cornyn as the one to jump if either did to the kennedy/mccain/bush bill sell out.

Glad I was wrong about him. As for Kyl, he just proved little good comes from Arizona Senators. The longer they serve, the greater possibility they’ll turn on us. From Goldwater to McCain. Now him.

I also want to give one kudo to Senator Dorgan from North Dakota, even though he is a Democrat, because the success of his amendent started the downward spiral. I do not agree with him on much but it meant the other Democrats were then in a tough position to continue.

Yup. Kick all the SOB's involved out of office...and, keep your eyes wide open...they'll be back with something else and they'll be very secret and sly with the next time.

..they will try again.

No doubt about that - Kennedy said they wouldn't give up or give in, and Lindsey Graham has said they would attach it to another bill if necessary.
