I’m sure with his experience and time in the service, he has more to offer than going out and being a talking head for CNN or one of the others. He has the experience to assit the troops. Use it for that. Not for CNN.
General Pace is a soldier. He’s following orders, a private may not argue with his platoon commander, a General does not and should not openly argue with the President, the Secretary of Defense, or Congress. Our congress critters and other such vermin in D.C. may not have any honor, but Pace clearly does.
Agreed...We all said the same thing in effect except General Pace is a Marine.
Have a great day, FRiend!
I think Rumsfield spent near as much time answering their inane questions as he spent at the Pentagon - and that time was probably spent getting ready for the next hearing!
With Hillary! running for POTUS and trying to appease the antis, she can get $million$ of free campaign coverage just by harrassing the military.
Thank you. I’ll get back to you when I’m done with the information’s perusal.
Only two combat veterans on the Republican side. Isn’t that a shame. We need to recruit a stronger, more patriotic slate of senate candidates!
Mullen has not seen a day of combat and will be a champion of affirmative action and lowered standards. Look for women to be officially placed into combat arms units and the skids to be greased for the entry of homosexuals into the service.
Point well made.
As my Colonel brother notes, and many around here do not seem to notice or understand, politics is heavily involved in appointments to the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Always has been, sometimes to the detriment of troops in the field.
Could be one of three things.
1) The dreaded “new tone”. (Ok that’s bad)
2) Further investigations, try to see who’s behind Berger. (This could very well have been derailed by the 2006 Election results.)
3) Or a lack of evidence for more serious crimes. (Clinton impeachment reprise. We didn’t get him on the other, more grevious crimes so perjury will have to do.)
