Well I don’t see much hope in our Congress to do that...so it is up to the people to choose the right kind of people to send to Washington — and get rid of the professional pols that are running away with our Republic.

The same could be said about abortion, but of course they have changed the fact that a human baby in the womb is now defined as a fetus, according to science. Therefore it is not human yet.

For what it’s worth....States continue to blame the Federal government for not enforcing our immigration laws and for not securing the border. Also, employers of illegal aliens use the same excuse, it’s not up to them to determine status. Cities pass ordinances where law enforcement cannot ask about status. Our educators are prevented from determining status. States use the excuse that their hands are tied, that it is up to the Feds.
Too bad the States can’t sue the Federal government for not doing THEIR jobs. States having to do the jobs the Federal government won’t.

General Abbott:
Article IV Section 4. of the United States Constitution reads as follows:
The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence.
If 12 million odd illegals currently in the country do not constitute an invasion I fail to understand the meaning of the word. Given that and the fact that you are the Attorney General of one of those states - the great state of Texas - it becomes incumbent upon you to file suit against the United States for it’s failure to “protect each of them against invasion”.

I still think this has a lot to do with Bushs idea of the One World Order or New World Order and the North American Union. From what I understand, we are to know something about that in Sept.Any more current info on this? Why do you say September?
By the way, there's a highly secluded and insulated meeting along these lines in Quebec, coming up on the 20th.

Once you train local law enforcement officers how to handle 287(g) I.C.E. provisions regarding local cooperation with federal immigration side--with respect to halting, assessing, arresting, and entering deportation procedures for rampant illegals--then you deputize those locally trained in these procedures to in turn train adjacent local communities who suffer from the same plague, if the federal side is either too personnel-stressed or too cashed-stress--which has been two of the excuses they have been coming up with recently from the Bush Administration and Washington to justify their inaction (retaliatory sabotage against the P.O.B. (the) "Pissed-off Base" actually if you ask me) in helping localities who are increasingly voting to have such federal training. Pass the knowledge on, make it pyramid, educate to every county and town in the land which wants such knowledge.I for one would like Tom or Duncan to vett and introduce this kind of legislation in the House of Representatives, despite their busy campaigns for President.

A court would probably kick out a citizen law suit since the guarantee runs to the States, not to the people. Not if that citizen owned property on the border and could make a showing that the illegals were causing damage to their property (i.e. economic damage so relief could be sought). That, to me, would certainly be standing.

From what I've read about this, they are meeting this month and there will be an announcement in Sept. This really ticks me off. We the public, tax payers, citizens, have no say in this matter and this is just not right.
