Get In The Game
READ: Colossians 1:24-29
To this end I also labor, striving according to His working which works in me mightily. Colossians 1:29
I love going to Chicagos Wrigley Field for a baseball gamesitting in the stands, downing a great hot dog, and cheering the Cubs on to victory!
Unfortunately, Christianity has become a lot like professional sports. As a friend of mine has observed, there are nine guys on the baseball field doing all the work and thousands in the stands just watching. And as you probably know, thats not Gods game plan for His people. He wants us to climb out of the stands, get out on the field, and join the team.
If you are wondering what good you can do on the field, wonder no more. What about your financial resources? Jesus can take your silver and gold and use it to accomplish great things for His glory.
But more than just getting out your checkbook, you have gifts you can contribute. God has given each of us spiritual gifts that can help advance His kingdom. Whether its teaching, encouraging, serving, showing hospitality, or extending mercy, each ability can yield great dividends. Lets follow the example of Paul, who tirelessly served on Gods field for the joy of being used by Him (Col. 1:28-29).
Believe me, its far more rewarding to be on the field than to sit in the stands.
Start where you are in serving the Lord,
Claim His sure promise and trust in His Word;
God simply asks you to do what you can,
Hell use your efforts to further His plan. Anon.
Dont make a cemetery of your life by burying your talents.

Hey there & good night.
I have gotten up early every day this week, have not taken a single nap and have started going to the gym with TheGirl (I am ready to leave after 15 minutes, the brat makes me stay 30 - 45 minutes!). This getting back into shape is tiring.

The light of God surround you The love of God enfold you The power of God protect you The presence of God watch over you Wherever you are, God is, And all is well. Amen.
BLESS THIS HOUSE Bless this house O Lord we pray; Make it safe by night and day;
Bless these walls so firm and stout, Keeping want and trouble out:
Bless the roof and chimneys tall, Let thy peace lie over all;
Bless this door, that it may prove ever open to joy and love.
Bless these windows shining bright, Letting in God's heav'nly light;
Bless the hearth a'blazing there, with smoke ascending like a prayer;
Bless the folk who dwell within, keep them pure and free from sin;
Bless us all that we may be Fit O Lord to dwell with thee;
Bless us all that one day we May dwell O Lord with thee.

Greetings All, time for the Friday Flyby. Your humble poster of aeroplanes is bit wore down tonight so right to the pics.
An almost head on pic to lead off the Flyby tonight.

Y'a know, if that pilot was not weraiing a visor I do believe we could see what colors his eyes were.

As this last week was the 63rd anniversary of D-Day I happened across a pic of a Canadian CF-18 with the invasion stripe paint job.

Here we have a Hornet loaded up for bear.

A pair of Royal Austrilan Air Force Hornets pose for the lens of Glenn Alderton.

And we head off into the sunset to get ready for the big de-construction project starting tomorrow.

Y'all have a great weekend and with any kinda luck we will be back with some more pics tomorrow night.
Regards

I'm posting early tonight. The Summer concert season has started. Luisito Ayala and his dynamite band, "Puerto Rican Power" are going to perform tonight here. We're going! Oops! Wait! Boss # 1 is out of town!
Shucks!
Ah, well. I guess I'll just have to swallow my pride, bite the bullet and go without her. I can give her a full report on my findings when she returns.

I think I can pull off sneaking out without her and going to the concert. That is.....
If there are no
Rat-Fink, Stool Pigeons in the Canteen!!!!!

Here is "Puerto Rican Power" doing "Jugete De Nadie!" ( I don't want to be anyone's toy. I don't want a woman who plays games. I'm looking for real love. ) This was one of their first big hits but the video is more recent. Enjoy!
