This is just another example of Duncan Hunter fighting for America, just like he's done his whole life. Let's put him in the White House!

Quite simply, why as an American manufacturer can’t I have the same access to foreign markets as they have to ours?

"Let's put him in the White House!"
...agreed. His good record matches his rhetoric (unlike another popular candidate).

I haven’t read the text of the Bill itself, but I know this is a corporate income tax vs. VAT issue. I honestly don’t have a response.

Duncan Hunter will be president in 2008, and if Thompson is lucky he’ll get to be Hunter’s VP.

No. We don't need to keep the "Kennedy wing" in charge. Let's compare the campaign rhetoric with some facts.
...
Thompsons record on immigration (opened the flood gates from third world nations). From NumbersUSA.
http://profiles.numbersusa.com/improfile.php3?DistSend=TN&VIPID=743
Fred Thompson is also Chairman of Condoleeza Rices International Security Advisory Board in the State Dept.
Duncan Hunter: Vietnam combat veteran, 173rd Airborne and 75th Army Rangers, Bronze Star, and Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee until the Democrat majority was voted in during the 2006 election. Congressman Hunter continues to work in the Armed Services Committee.
Fred Thompson: Fred Thompson voted in favor of the "1997 McCain-Feingold overhaul of campaign finance." But there's more. Here's a little information that will resolve the issue.
Fred Thompson's record on immigration:
* Voted YES on allowing more foreign workers into the US for farm work. (Jul 1998)
* Voted YES on visas for skilled workers. (May 1998)
* Voted YES on limit welfare for immigrants. (Jun 1997)
Duncan Hunter's record on immigration:
* Voted YES on preventing tipping off Mexicans about Minuteman Project. (Jun 2006)
* Voted YES on reporting illegal aliens who receive hospital treatment. (May 2004)
* Voted NO on extending Immigrant Residency rules. (May 2001)
* Voted NO on more immigrant visas for skilled workers. (Sep 1998)
* Rated 100% by FAIR, indicating a voting record restricting immigration. (Dec 2003)
Fred Thompson:
* Voted YES on extending free trade to Andean nations. (May 2002)* Voted YES on granting normal trade relations status to Vietnam. (Oct 2001) * Voted NO on removing common goods from national security export rules. (Sep 2001)
* Voted YES on permanent normal trade relations with China. (Sep 2000)
* Voted YES on expanding trade to the third world. (May 2000)* Voted YES on renewing 'fast track' presidential trade authority. (Nov 1997) * Voted YES on imposing trade sanctions on Japan for closed market. (May 1995)
Duncan Hunter:
* Voted NO on implementing CAFTA, Central America Free Trade. (Jul 2005) * Voted YES on implementing US-Australia Free Trade Agreement. (Jul 2004)
* Voted NO on implementing US-Singapore free trade agreement. (Jul 2003)* Voted NO on implementing free trade agreement with Chile. (Jul 2003) * Voted YES on withdrawing from the WTO. (Jun 2000)
* Voted NO on 'Fast Track' authority for trade agreements. (Sep 1998) * Rated 24% by CATO, indicating a pro-fair trade voting record. (Dec 2002)
Fred Thompson NOT Good on Illegal Immigration Issue (Power Line News--don't be concerned about the opinionated title, but have a look at the facts there)

Kudos to Hunter here, but let’s extend some credit to the (D) co-authors as well - perhaps there are some on the “other side” with whom we can promote true bipartisan legislation.

Quite simply, why as an American manufacturer cant I have the same access to foreign markets as they have to ours? Because of our tax system - the income tax. It adds to price at each stage of production. A successful sale includes amounts sufficient to pay the costs of the seller - all costs - including tax costs.
WTO will not allow us to punish imports (tariffs).
But they will allow us to change tax systems.
The results of this bill are achieved by changing to a national retail sales tax such as HR 25 in Congress right now.
Do a thomas.loc.gov on HR 25. If you want, take a look at the faq at fiartax.org.

Duncan Hunter IS the man we need in the White House. I’ve had it with RINO’s and weak leadership.

>We don’t need to keep the “Kennedy wing” in charge. Let’s compare the campaign with some facts (Hunter-Thompson)<
In addition to your comparisons:
Thompson: Voted China MFN, is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and he declared Globalism (One World Government) good for America in his Lincoln Club Dinner speech May 4, 2007.
Hunter: Authored the 800+ mile border fence law, and a HR demanding Mexican transport vehicles abide by the same rules and regulations as domestic transport vehicles while on American highways.
Just June 7 Duncan Hunter co-authored legislation to reduce tax burden on U.S. Manufacturers to help cure the unfair trade deficit.
I am sad to say that with Fred Thompson in the White House, we are warily tossing the dice.
Now at the crossroads in American history, I am convinced that with a consistent and constitutional Duncan Hunter at the helm, we could all sleep easier. Our ship of state would make the turn back out of very troubled waters to where it was intended to be - a sovereign, prosperous and SAFE nation once again.
