Prayer thread for our president and our beloved country

I'm not much for praying in public, but Dear God, we need it now more than ever.
Please pray that strength and wisdom be granted to President Bush and our representatives in congress so that they can get back on the path of defending our nation, securing our borders and preserving our God-given rights and freedoms.
Please pray for our troops and that they return safely and victoriously over the forces of evil.

These have always been included in my morning and evening prayers since 2000, and especially since 2001 and all that’s happened since. Thanks for starting this thread, may thousands of prayers be said.
