Over the last few decades we were told women are strong. We were told women can do anything a man can do. We are told to this day that women deserve equality in pay and respect. We are told women should be allowed in combat roles (although most women believe a draft for them is out of the question).
Paris Hilton, the night before going to jail, appeared at the MTV Music Awards in Los Angeles. She said this....

You assume she can read.
The late Conrad "Nicky" Hilton Jr., was the great-uncle of the current national news-stopper, Paris.
Uncle Nicky, son and heir of the hotel chain's founder, Conrad Sr., was Liz Taylor's first among many husbands. He was 24, she was 18.
He was a renowned playboy, gambler and alcoholic.
She poured him down the drain after less than a year of connubial non-bliss and alleged physical abuse.
Nicky Hilton Jr. died of a heart attack at age 42. Paris' model sister, Nicky, is named after this distinguished grand-uncle.

Does that give you license to act like a spoiled skank with no brains?
Not pretending to be able to read Nachoman's mind, it seems to me that his post was sarcasm. If so, good one, Nachoman!
Maybe she will do us a favor and move to France. Then, she join the French foreign lesion.
Evidently Paris Hilton thinks so.
She could kill my family all the way back to my greatgrandparents and all my aunts and uncles too the way she drives. She might even run over my dog and laugh about it. That's right, I am getting mad now. Keep her in the slammer an extra week.
Many jails, including Los Angeles County, are under Federal orders to reduce overcrowding. Thousands of people have been released early, and thousands have been released without having to post bail on warrants because of overcrowding. All Baca had to do was leave her there a few days and then release her because of overcrowding. Then, if the judge criticized the decision, Baca could have innocently pointed to the Federal order and stood his ground, and there would have been nothing the Judge could have done about it unless he wanted to get into a fight with the Feds. Baca is a tool, well qualified for management, but clueless as a thinking cop.
> Before you self-righteous FReepers hold her in judgement, just how many of you had to grow up with the challenges of being rich and beautiful?
I Volunteer to give it a go...!
> The only positive thing one can say about Paris Hilton is that at least she shaves her underarms.
No, one of “her people” does that for her.
> Teresa Heinze Kerry is another example. So was Princess Di. The list goes on....
Comparing Princess Diana to Paris Hilton is perverse. And objectionable.
The worst thing that ever happened to Diana Spencer was to marry into the royal family. I’d wager she regretted every moment of her life after that.
I do not see any fair comparison between Princess Diana and Paris Hilton. The former was a Lady who is sadly missed, and the latter is a slattern and a criminal who will never be missed by anybody.
> What in the world is a pay jail? I am seriously thinking of retiring to another country when this skank has more exposure than the amnesty bill, the Iraq war, Iran with nukes, and everything else going on in the entire world!!
Consider moving to New Zealand. The Paris story barely featured on our media. I found out about her being sent back to the Crowbar Hotel on the Free Republic.
Most people were shocked — shocked! at the pub last nite when I mentioned that Paris Hilton hadn’t actually gotten away with it, that she had been sent back to the slammer. That was at least 18 hours after the news had broken in the States. And then they went back to talking about the Rugby because Paris Hilton does not feature on their radar.
Nope — New Zealand is officially a Paris-free zone!

> Baka means fool, not ass. Overall good article though.
In most English-speaking countries outside the US, “Fool” and “Ass” are synonymous. We use the word “Arse” to refer to our West-end — as did Chaucer.
Paris is the logical result of the radical feminist idea that every woman should be free to be as promiscuous as the most irresponsible man. Try reading Barbara Ehrenrich et. al’s book Remaking Love, where the authors downplay women’s economic advances in favor of the struggle for “orgasm equality.”
With Paris, its no act.
"The worst thing that ever happened to Diana Spencer was to marry into the royal family."
That feeling is mutual with Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, herself -- but with roles reversed naturally.
The Whore of Wales admitted her affair with James Hewitt, a crime in older days (some say better days) that would have removed her head from her body in an only slightly more pleasant manner than Sharia law would allow.
Her flings, post-separation from Charles, were as sordid and numerous as anything Paris Hilton has achieved... although Paris has plenty of time to catch up, since Diana's score with debauchery has certainly peaked by now.
Furthermore, Di’s marriage into the royal family didn’t “happen to her”.
It was not an arranged marriage, it was something she sought like any hopeful bride with her eyes set on jets, jewels, and *cough*...... “love.”
Anyone - male or female - who looks at Paris Hilton as a role model or a setter of standards for women is a rather pathetic person. There may be some teens who look up to her and anyone famous will always have their share of groupies and hangers-on and yes-men. But I can’t imagine any mature person thinking that PH has ANY influence on a real woman. Most adult women could care less what she does and are rather tired of hearing about her.
Why on earth would anyone even consider that PH lowers or raises or sets ANY standard for any average person??? Who even sits and thinks these things up???? Geez....
Her great grandfather Conrad Hilton built the Hilton empire, not her Dad. He’s another kid with everything handed to him too, he’s just had the luck or knowledge to stay out of the headlines probably. Ol’ Conrad had his days in the spotlight, with marriages to Zsa Zsa Gabor and Elizabeth Taylor. Paris isn’t the first to make headlines and raise eyebrows.
What is Charles for continuing his affair all during his marriage? The what of Wales?
Just curious.....
