Whenever I read about the Dems' suddenly getting religion, I can't help but grin, even laugh.

I remember the eighties and nineties and the 00's, when Republicans were talking about religion and Democrats were talking against it, how mixing religion and politics was wrong, how self-righteous Republicans were wearing their religious beliefs on their sleeves when they should be keeping their own council, and religion was SO private that REAL religious folks didn't talk about it in political campaigns...

Nowadays you can't get through an article about a Dem on the stump without a prominent mention about how they're such great Bible-thumpers that you wonder when they have time to do anything BUT pray.
