If you've seen the Half Hour News Hour before, you know how funny it is! Rush Limbaugh plays the POTUS and Ann Coulter the Veep in past skits. Tonight's opening skit is a little different but just as hilarious. Don't miss it. Set your TIVOs. If you've never seen it, tune in tonight on the Fox News channel, 10 PM EST and 7 PM on the Left Coast, other places check your listings. Conservatives need to laugh too!
This show is really quite funny; I saw tonight's episode filmed. Not doing any spoiling, but if you are not a fan of Harry Reid you will become a huge fan of Dennis Miller tonight. Does the man ever inhale? Or exhale?

Hit the link in the TITLE area of this thread for easy access to the Rush clip. The regular Fox News home page makes it very hard to find the show. It is worth watching.
ROFL!
I hit the link above. It goes to FNC’s site but the video doesn’t play.
Try the upper link in the title. Because I was forced to put “excerpted” in order to post the thread (I did not actually use any copywrited material from Fox News), that second link was a FR auto insert.
I’ve watched the past few weeks. The short quick news summaries are SNL Weekend Update quality (some funny, some not) but the skits with “experts” are routinely lame. They really need more video segments to liven it up (perhaps a reporter trying to get a “live” interview with one of the whales stuck in the river to ask him how he “feels” about being stuck, whether he’s stupid because of No Child Left Behind didn’t include whales, etc.). The funniest thing so far has been the Laura Ingraham ad for Oxyclinton.
Oh, and the Miller segment almost doesn’t seem like part of the show but he does typically turn in his Miller-esque rant in fine style.
When FNC removes Geraldo from Saturday and Sunday nights, maybe I’ll go back to watching it.
Your suggestions are excellent. If it stays weekly it can stay more topical too. I agree that the skits with “experts” should not be every week.
Dennis’s references are fast and furious and for once you don’t feel talked down to from a commentator. I love it. To make it feel more part of the show, maybe he should do his bit “live” on the news set... if he can. It LOOKS like a one-take effort but who knows?
I had missed that one. Dennis is great! If those plates existed I’d order some. ROFL!
I watched last Sunday and was glad to see that it was more current. I LMBO at the commemorative plates, and really wish I could’ve ordered them! I also liked the Jimmy Carter best ex-president bit.
I love the little dance Rush does while his drink is being “freshened.”
I hope it stays on at least weekly. It’s the only way to stay current. This week’s was so current the day it was made, using topics from that day’s news (Thursday).
...Laura Ingraham ad for Oxyclinton.
%%
That was brilliant. And Laura was very good. I almost did not recognize her, though, because her voice was so much softer. I wish she would use that same voice on her radio show because sometimes her voice is really grating.
I agree with you about the interivews with experts. Those parts must be written by the second stringers. I have yet to see a “commercial” that was not excellent.
When FNC removes Geraldo from Saturday and Sunday nights...
^^
I despise him. I always change the channel when he comes on. They had him on the morning program the day after the Shamenesty Bill went down. I thought he was going to cry. Maybe he eventually did, but I don’t know since I changed the channel.
More and more, Fox has been making me switch over to CNN, especially when they spend time on Paris Hilton or Anna Nicole. Their news editors should be ashamed.
Of course the left is havening a fit about this (just look at their reviews of it). I can only think of three reasons for this (though it might be all three). First, they cant stand being the butt of the joke, they can dish it out but they cant take it. Second, they fear the show and its success (it got the highest ratings out of all the show out there when its on). Third, liberals just arent smart enough to comprehend something as complicated as humor; case in point just watch the daily show.
I love the show. I have seen every episode and it just keeps getting better.
Coming up in 20 minutes, everyone!
They have an ad this week too that is funny.
It's a problem. Everyone knows conservatives can laugh like hyenas over jokes about us IF they are actually FUNNY. Liberals are so insecure about their own positions that they are not able to see any humor in them.
I believe that if two shows went head to head, a conservative comedy vs. a liberal one, each with equally good writers and actors, the conservative one would be more watched because our humor is not limited to "The Other Guy is Dumb, HAR HAR HARHAR HAR!"
Do you know if it will be repeated later?
