So the historical data under Ike was that when real enforcement starts there are 8-10 self-deportations for every one by the authorities. Better than I would have guessed. So if we could just get the authorities to act seriously we might only need to physically catch and deport about 2 million to solve the current backlog. Build the fence, remove the welfare etc. entitlements for illegals, streamline the deportation procedures, setup a employee verification procedure that works (subcontract it to Visa/MasterCard) and try to catch and deport 50k/month and the problem would be mostly solved in time for your re-election campaign. Then, having earned the voters’ confidence, you can increase selective legal immigration of those we want and who are willing to assimilate.

Somehow, I don’t see things working out the same even if a president were to try to remove the majority of criminal aliens in the country. Operation Wetback was before the age of the assault lawyer, La Raza, a leftest federal judiciary, a completely anti-american media establishment, and a generally brain washed American public.

I would add:
Modify the 16th amendment to allow children born of foreign nationals on US soil to claim US citizenship no earlier than their 18th birthday.
Until such a time they are required to go with their parents in the event of deportation.
We are not a cruel people, it is not our policy to break up families...

20 million people are not going to be deported. Which is why I am embarking on a campaign of legal harassment to make life as uncomfortable for as many illegals as possible..
Some examples..
*If you see a parent load their children into the car without proper restraint, don't hesitate to call the police. The same goes for the adults and seat belts.
*If you suspect someone is undocumented and witness them drink even one beer and get behind the wheel, call the police. The same goes for smelling alcohol on them.
*Complain to your local county/city code enforcement about over grown yards, junk cars, etc.
Basically anything that you can think of to legally get local law enforcement involved..
Don't file false reports or make stuff up, only report what you actually see or know to be true.

It's been argued by some here that the intent of the 14th amendment, to which I presume you intended to refer, as stated by those who introduced it in Congress, is not the birthright citizenship we have today.
All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.
The key phrase allegedly being ignored is "subject to the jurisdiction thereof" which was allegedly intended to prevent the current automatic citizenship of everyone whose first breaths were on US soil, a practice nearly no other country follows. IIRC, the claim is that a Supreme Court decision c. 1890 twisted the original intent into the current practice. Because its been done this way so long we tend to accept it even though it may not be correct. If so, the situation could potentially be changed in some way simpler than another constitutional amendment. However, although I tried to read up on this when I first heard of it, I then concluded that the arguments were complex and that this doctor should leave them to the proper legal experts to debate.

The problem isnt with what Ike did, its that our leaders today are too P C, they have lost their spine and turned in parts of their manhood to get elected. IOW, they are a bunch of pussies? Is that what you meant? Because that's what I mean. They are a bunch of spineless wimps!
