"Peaceful" Muslims are that way in spite of, not because of, Islam. There are good and bad people in every culture. The problem with Islamic culture is that a Muslim who opposes the use of violence to advance Islam is an apostate in the eyes of real Muslims.

Well said. It's too bad the "peaceful" Muslims couldn't unite and for once be violent enough to over throw their violent brethern. But then they would need to find the use of violence approved in the Qur'an, and when they find that they then turn into the violent Muslims.
