I did a double take, too ~ it wasn’t very clear. “;^)

"I can easily believe Giuilani gains 27% support from Republicans."

So can I, but will he get that much support during the actual primaries?

Conservatives will come out in droves to back a candidate they believe in. Is Rudi one? no. Only time will tell if Thompson can convince them he's the real deal.

Is that a new McDonald’s breakfast?

Republicans antsy for a conservative standard-bearer in the presidential race have only just begun to rally behind Fred Thompson.

There, fixed it.

Buh bye, Rudy. Better start angling for AG or head of Homeland Security under President Thompson.

McStain, start looking for a ghost-writer for your memoirs. I admire your service on behalf of this country - we can never repay you for the torture you endured - but you're not cut out for the job you now seek.

My folks (in their 80’s) vote Republican, but they had no idea who Fred Thompson was until today when I sent my folks a link to info about him. My mom was bemoaning the fact that she’d have to choose between Guiiani and McCain (she doesn’t like either, but that was the impression she was getting from the news they watch...MSM mostly.) I imagine there are a lot of other folks, who don’t have a clue who he is or that he’s planning on running for President.

Absolutely, McToast is a new McDonald’s breakfast, made by illegal hires out of poisonous Chinese bread and costing a huge amount to market without perceptible demand. It’s a strange dish, never popular, and becoming less so each day.

But once more people (including your parents) find out who Fred is, his polls numbers go even higher. Fred is doing incredibly well spending absolutely no money and just doing the talk shows, his column and his radio show.

I predict that he’s in first by Labor Day, assuming he announces sometime in July.

I think you are right.

And I also predict that the word “coronation” will appear in news stories about the Republican Primaries and Caucuses, before the first vote is cast.

I think we’ve found our man.

Maybe your mom can watch Leno Tuesday night (tomorrow) and see Fred for herself.

A agree. The man who is too lazy, has no executive experience, is millions of dollars behind in fund raising, and entered the race too late, will wipe the floor with the established candidates and their war chest. The Fred Train is unstoppable and not one of the pundants seems to have noticed.

Fred has gone from fourth to second in 45 days. I predict that he’s in first by Labor Day, assuming he announces sometime in July.

I say by the end of July.

Don’t take the time to look over your shoulder.

Someone might be gaining on you.

How long until McCain drops out altogether and goes for a third-party run?

This is incredible. It shows how badly conservative Republicans want to rally behind a CONSERVATIVE candidate!!

We don't need a liberal like Guiliani--who will accelerate the Party's movement to the left. We do NOT need two political parties to the left-pf-center!!

As I oft state--Liberal Republicans like Guiliani are more dangerous than liberal democrats,,,,

because liberal Republicans like Rudy BLUR THE DISTINCTION between conservatism and liberalism....

making LIBERALISM MUCH MORE ACCEPTABLE!!!

Go, Fred, Go!!!
