The unwillingness of the base to listen, and/or so-called hate of the base, did not come out of nowhere.

If Bush, or Congress, had made serious efforts and noises to shut down the border to NEW illegals, before proposing their cockamamie plan, we would have something to talk about.

If Bush thinks that a couple of ICE raids, 6 years into his term are going to fool anyone, he can think again.
