“Yeap, ole Romney is doing great in northeastern liberal states.”

He also has a double digit lead in Iowa. After he wins both early primary states he will be unstoppable. The rest of the country doesn’t know him yet, but they will.

Given that I would Guiliani over Romney because at least he is a good administrator.

Romney is one of the most successful CEOs in North America, so I am pretty sure that he also a good if not better administrator. The real question is who is more conservative, and I think Romney is clearly more conservative than Giuliani.

I'm starting to hope you are right.

Don’t count Romney out in the south yet. PS... Romney is younger and cuter than Fred and with one beloved wife.... watch out!

According to a new Des Moines Register Iowa Poll, Mitt Romney leads among people planning to attend the straw poll ... 34% of likely straw poll attendees support Romney, reflecting his overall support among Iowa Republicans. Rudy Giuliani is second at 16%. Sen. John McCain is third with 15%.

Some analysts thought that the conservative newcomer would erode Romney's support, but it appears Thompson is stealing support from McCain and Giuliani.

No surprise there....

One of three men is going to be our nominee:

Giuliani

Romney, or

Thompson

Right now, I’m leaning towards Mitt. But whomever it is, I will support him 100 percent.

We must not lose. America must not lose.

Yep, Romney's been living in Iowa, playing their little kiss butt games. For the most part, the others are ignoring the nonsense. Iowa and NH aren't the bell weathers they once were.

For whatever reason, this Romney guy just doesn’t do much for me. I don’t think he’s all that conservative

___

Me neither, I don’t want “Slick Mitty” on the top or bottom of the ticket, we’ve already had 2 Bush “pretend” conservatives.

Thompson/Schundler

Is it true Willard leased ALL the buses in Iowa on the date of the straw poll?

Very odd.

"Not much talk of VPs at this point. They could make a strong bet with the right combination..."

A Thompson-Romney ticket would be tough to beat. Especially if Rudy could be brought on board as a Law and Order/Wartime attorney general.

“Yeap, ole Romney is doing great in northeastern liberal states. In the rest of the country, Romney is sucking eggs.”

Yeah, Iowa’s quite the bastion of Northeastern Liberalism, all right. Don’t get much bluer.

Everywhere Romney is campaigning, he’s tearing up the field, with the debatable exception of SC. Where he’s not campaigning, he’s not doing well. But in our system of politics that doesn’t matter yet.

It’ll be interesting to watch as Thompson gets into the race.

“Iowa and NH aren’t the bell weathers they once were.”

People say that every election cycle and every election cycle they are proven wrong. We’ll see. Big Tuesday will be won by the candidate with the most cash in hand so in either case Romney wins.

Well ole Mitt is shooting his wad trying to win Iowa. Mitt is playing their little games, but it won't transfer to other states.

Maybe I better shut up about Thompson’s candidacy. My trap is officially shutting closed . . . bang!
