If Frontier Airlines proceeds with plans to let customers purchase “carbon offsets” along with their tickets, you can bet that its sales pitch will be all green and no yellow — all environmental upside and no buyer beware.
You can be sure that customers who purchase the offsets — “more than $30 for a round-trip domestic flight,” the Rocky reported — will do so assuming they are about to neutralize the environmental effects of their flight and that the climate gods are smiling from the clouds.
What those customers aren’t likely to see at the Frontier counter, in other words, is the following headline: “Offsetting your carbon footprint takes decad

If you build an environmentally responsible, carbon-offset, low-energy, recycled, energy-conserving, sustainable, green, organic, cruelty-free mousetrap, the enviroweenies will line up to buy it. Even if you charge $1000 for it. The only problem is, they will try to make the government mandate its use by everyone, or at least ban all the alternatives.
I haven’t flown Frontier in a couple years. I would love to be asked if I wanted to buy carbon offsets... it would be fun to give the ticket agent an earful!
What kind of gullible moron would pony up $50 as a guilt offering for the “pleasure” of flying? I’d like to buy a telemarketing list of their names — you could get rich selling ‘em oceanfront in Arizona &etc.

It’s a great racket, isn’t it? Putting all of their “little people” on guilt trips, and then actually getting them to PAY for the privilege of self-abuse! And by the way, getting the sheep to IGNORE what they, the leaders, are actually *doing* (as opposed to saying)!
Of course, Elite Democrat Leaders don’t need to deny their own SUV/privateJet/bigMansion lusts; nor do they need to bother with either the self-abuse or the offsetting payments...
