He's lying Rose. He knows well whats in this bill. HE DON'T CARE! He sees his future legacy as the North American Union and he sees the NAU as a good thing.

The amnesty is just the first step.

One thing I'm learning about Washington is that there's no lie they won't tell. They'll lie til their tongues turn black and fall out. They collect their paychecks from the taxpayer anyways so there's no need for them to be honest.

What’s the big rush, W? He wants to go down in history as being the power who brought down a great and thriving nation to become the waste basket of the New World Order.
Am I warm?

Do we need a new bill to enforce our existing laws?

Why is a good question. My theory is they’ve all cut a deal with some entity and they are more scared of them than the voters.

"I would like to bring W out of the shadows, so he can get some idea of what we Americans think.

Isn't it obvious to all by now, that he doesn't care what we Americans think!

And to think that I voted for this RINO.

ITS AMNESTY! Jorge W. wants IMMEDIATE AMNESTY for 12 million "undocumented Americans." (laughing) Enforcement is just after an afterthought. If he hasn't enforced the law all these years, why would he start now? Sorry Jorge, but your credibility is all used up. The American people don't want amnesty no matter how hard you push for it.

The bill contains NO funds for the measures. The House just rejected funding for construction of 370 miles of border fencing. If Congress doesn't have the will to secure our borders, Jorge W. is just as hell not going to use his bully pulpit to get them to do the work they ought to be doing instead of selling out our country on behalf of people who are not even entitled to vote!

*sigh* I guess with that title we really shouldn’t complain about no barf alert.

Buy this, and you’ve bought pretty much the same reasoning that says we should legalize all drugs.

On second thought, it’s more like: we should require abuse of all drugs...

“In the shadows of society.” Is that what they call protesting in the streets of our cities?

I think ¡RECONQUISTA! must be Spanish for "shadows"...

Pure damn babbling! He’s either even more of an idiot than the the libs and the MSM have always proclaimed him to be, or he thinks we are.

I can no longer respect him while he continues to insult my intelligence with this crap.

“As many as 12 million illegal workers remain in the shadows”

Maybe they should have remained in the sunshine of Mexico rather than shadows in the US? This is the most infuriating excuse of them all. The hundreds of thousands who poured out into the streets last Spring waving Mexican flags sure didn’t seem to be hiding in any shadows.

I can’t even imagine why President Bush wants this as his legacy. Why wasn’t he as strong in pushing his Social Security reforms after he was reelected and still had some ‘political capital?’

No question he sincerely believes in all this .. I don’t for one second question his motivation. I DO question his and the GOP senators’ disdain for the opinions of those of us who don’t live in the safely insulated power bubble that is our Nation’s Capital. They really are clueless. This is such a bitter disappointment. With President Bush in the lead, they are destroying in one bill what took the better part of a generation to build. It’s not likely that I will see a Republican majority in Congress again in my lifetime.

1) The Bill Contains Tough New Border Security And Enforcement Measures.

The Bill Commits The Most Resources To Border Security In U.S. History.

Bush still doesn't understand that the problem is lack of trust. The government has proven time and again that it is untrustworthy on border security and interior enforcement.

We don't care that he promises to spend $4.4 Billion or $4.4 Trillion on the border, or any other promise. No more promises, simply secure the borders first and maintain such for a year. Only then we can move on to step two.

If the border is truly secure, that will greatly ease the pressure on the border. No one will sit waiting to cross the border if it's a certainty that they will not be successful and failure will result in their being put in a fenced holding area in the desert as designed by Sheriff Joe Arpaio.

To start fixing the problem is so simple:
Bush calls a two minute press conference and announces that from this day forward the United States will secure our borders.

Further, he is calling out the National Guard (The name is rather fitting here) to secure the borders. The rules of engagement are that they will use force on force, no retreating, and they will certainly pursue illegals and there will be no catch and release.

If Bush is serious, he still has time left to do this. Unfortunately I'm fairly certain that he will instead ride his "comprehensive" immigration reform over the cliff, wasting too much time and any small amount of remaining good will he still enjoys from fellow Republicans.

Border security and interior enforcement laws need to be improved.

YOU DONT NEED AMNESTY TO DO THIS. BUILD THE FENCE!

Employers do not have the tools they need to verify the work eligibility of their employees with assurance.

YOU DONT NEED AMNESTY TO DO THIS. ENFORCE THE LAW!

As many as 12 million illegal workers remain in the shadows.

THEY ARE THERE OUT OF CHOICE. IF THEY DONT LIKE DOING SOMETHING ILLEGAL THEY CAN GO HOME. OR WE CAN DEPORT THEM, RIGHT?

Only around 13 percent of green cards are awarded each year based on employment-related criteria, and far too little emphasis is placed on the skills and attributes necessary to fill the needs of our growing economy and further the national interest.

YOU DONT NEED AMNESTY TO DO THIS.

There is no efficient mechanism by which willing foreign workers may be hired for jobs Americans are not doing.
===> That is a myth. Americans do all the job types in our economy!

This Bill Represents The Best Chance To Move Forward On Fixing Our Broken Immigration System.

YOU DONT NEED AMNESTY TO DO THIS.
What’s broken? borders, enforcement, and ‘chain migration’ are the 3 most broken things .. the pro-amnesty supporters ask “What else would you do?” The public knows and supports the right answer:
1. Secure the border by completing the border fence.
2. Enforce immigration law by sharing information between local, state and Federal law enforcement,
enforcing immigration law in the workplace, and vigorously deporting criminal aliens.
3. Pass NO OTHER LAWS until #1 and #2 are done completely and REALLY WORK.
And then, fix the legal immigration system with employer-based immigration, not with amnesty.

Dubyah’s in a full court press to pass this thing. Why, I really don’t know.

Just follow the money. Business wants this and they contribute to election campaigns.
