As a medical treatment, it was still very much in vogue in TJ’s day.

Good question. There are way too many crazy judges. There should be an easier way to get rid of them. What I find offensive is that this case was even allowed to be filed. The system makes it easy for someone with lots of money to ruin an innocent person financially.

A question that should be asked, but apparently is not:

With this guy’s history, which seems to have been no secret, how in the world did he get appointed to the bench in the first place? There were red flags all over his resume.

Oops, excuse me, this is DC and he is a person of color. Seriously, can anyone offer a more logical explanation?

That must be a question because it has a question mark behind it. But how am I supposed to know what you are familiar with? Do I know you?

I was just wondering what Tort reform is, but I will look it up. You do not know me.

So the question mark was a typo. O.K. Now I get it.

Tort reform generally applies to laws designed to make lawsuits, especially personal injury suits, harder to bring, more difficult to try, and recovery less. Things such as caps on damages, procedural hurdles such as expert reports, a high burden of proof, monetary sanctions for an unsuccessful plaintiff, etc.

There are many, many forms of tort reform, but it basically means that you want less lawsuits and especially less successful lawsuits to such an extent that you are willing to see meritorious claims go without a remedy.

if I were earth Czar, I’d say look you idiot, you are going to pay the cleaning people’s legal fees right now. You will pawn, garage sale, liquify everything you have immediately. Whatver cock-a-ma-mee job you did have is gone, you will get a new job immediately, plus a part time job or 3.

also, you will walk around with a hat that says “Ass-clown”
