Dear Heavenly Father, We come to You this evening with thanksgiving and praise for all You are and for all You do. You are the Sovereign Lord of all and Worthy of our very all. You alone are worthy.

Father, I lift up President Bush today and pray that Your instruction to him would be embraced and that in spite of all of the world's pressures, that Your will would be his very own. Lord, I lift him up this father's day and pray that he can take comfort in his daughter's devotion to You and Your ways (or if they do not know You, that he would be comforted in their salvation). Father, the first family has so many pressures upon them. How could they withstand them without You. Be their guide, their teacher, their provider, their friend, their comforter, and their Shepherd. And let Your leadership in their lives filter down to those whom they are in authority over for this nation's sake and Your name's sake.

Be with the fathers in the military as they are away from their children. And let them feel Your presence.

Go with us the rest of the day and may we be a blessing to You as we live our lives.

For it is in the precious name of Christ Jesus that I pray these things.

Amen.

And please, let the President be turned away from the dark forces whispering in his ear urging his support of criminal shamnesty that will bring about the end of our glorious Republic. Amen.

Lord, God, Almighty,

Please give President Bush abundant vivid inputs by your Holy Spirit . . .

whether directly, with dreams, visions, visitations of You Personally, Lord; by reading Your Word and having phrases leap off in neon colors . . .

Show him the consequences of ignoring your Will and Your Ways regarding our country.

Give him a will set like flint only toward your priorities for him and for our country in these trying times.

Show him the consequences of listening to the voices from satan and his imps human or otherwise.

Give him fear of displeasing you and NO FEAR OF MAN, NO FEAR EVEN OF SATAN. Deliver him of all such fears, Lord.

Protect his life and his family, please. Draw all of them deeper into your will and purposes, into Yourself, Lord.

IN Jesus’ Name.
Amen.

You, O Lord, hold our very lives ... and our future. May our lives be so sprinkled with Your Grace that others would desire Your Presence. May Your Presence then be so strong that this nation would truly come under Your Lordship, and having come under Your Lordship, we would be that Light to the World. Until that time, Merciful Father, mold us and make us, from the least to the mightiest, for Your Honor and Glory, both now and forevermore, Amen ...

A Letter From Dad

Stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. —2 Timothy

A few months before my father died of cancer, he wrote me a letter in which he said: “I never think of you that I don’t offer up a short prayer for you and your success. I know you. I know what’s behind you. And I am pretty sure that I understand your goals, the kind of writing you hope to do, and the message you wish to convey. Stay in there and pitch, and may the Lord bless you. I am just so proud and thankful that the Lord let me be your father.”

That letter is one of my dad’s greatest gifts to me.

The New Testament contains two letters from Paul to Timothy, a young man he mentored and considered his “true son in the faith” (1 Tim. 1:2) and his “beloved son” (2 Tim. 1:2). The second letter begins with Paul’s deeply personal words assuring Timothy of his love and faithful prayers (vv.2-3). Paul affirmed Timothy’s spiritual heritage (v.5) and his God-given gifts and calling (vv.6-7). Then he encouraged him to live boldly for the gospel of Christ (v.8).

Dads, you can give great encouragement to your children by writing them a letter of love and affirmation. It may be the greatest gift you can give them. Why not sit down and write it from your heart today.

God gives us children for a time
To nurture and to love,
To give them our encouragement,
With wisdom from above. —Sper

The greatest gift a father can give his children is himself.

Holy Father,

Bless the fathers of this nation and help each one to fulfill the commitment he has to his children. Help our fathers to be loved and respected and to accept full responsibility for helping to raise godly children. Thank You for being the supreme example of a loving Father. We love You because You first loved us. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Good prayer. Amen. I remember all the children of those fighting for our defense today who miss their fathers at home. God bless those children, the mothers doing double duty, and keep the fathers safe.

Isaiah 41:10 NRSV

I am praying this over America [God is speaking]:

Do not fear for I am with you [America]
Do not be afraid [America] for I am your God
I will help you [America]
I will strengthen you [America]
I will uphold you [America] with MY victorious right hand

[Did anyone notice God only had to use ONE HAND - which I believe leaves the other hand free - to deliver a LEFT HOOK!]

I was watching UNITED 93 last night, and I have not stopped crying and yelling in rage at my TV. How dare these congress people allow our immigration to run amok .. how dare they scoff at us and tell us to shut up .. when they have already forgotten the people WHO DIED TO SAVE THEIR SORRY REAR ENDS.

“Millions of Americans seek guidance every day in prayer to the Almighty God. I am one of them. It is humbling to know people I will never meet are praying for me.”
—George W. Bush

Dear Heavenly Father,

Please forgive our sins and hear our prayers of praise and thanksgiving to You, and our supplications for our president, for our nation, for all of those who are risking their lives to defend, protect, and preserve the freedoms we hold so dear in this country, and for their families.

Father, please surround the president, and all of those in positions of power, in your providential guidance, and grant them wisdom to do your will. Please bless those decisions that are favorable for the continued blessing of our nation, and thwart the implementation of those decisions that will bring harm. Please bless us not to be deceived, as a people, and bless us to support those things that will bring glory to your name.
In the precious name of Christ, Amen.

Agreeing with you, CyberAnt-—in recognition of God’s power and in your outrage at the failure of men who do not seek Him or obey Him.
