[sarc]Yes, because big oil is obviously the problem. I mean, it can’t possibly be the government that’s screwing up the whole market.[/sarc]
Gas prices are high. Taking money from the oil companies will surely resolve it.
Makes perfect sense to me....
Congress has moved so far to the left that it is actually proposing to nationalize the oil industry just like every other country in the world has already done. We can do nothing to stop them. Congress has learned that they can safely ignore the people because of their death grip on power.
You can write your Congressman or reorganize your sock drawer. Both have the same impact on Congress.
Not only do they hinder the construction of new refineries (does anyone know when the last one was built?), new pipe lines and even where we can drill for oil, they tax all aspects of gasoline production: exploration, drilling, refining, transportation, all the gas stations that pump gas, the share holders and the corporations themselves and, of course, you and me on each and every gallon of gas we pump into your cars.
Then, when the public gets upset at the high price of gasoline and the trickle down effect that fuel costs have on the price of everything else, what do the politicians do? They blame "big oil"!!!
And what do the stupid, dumbed down average, emotionally lead Americans do? They believe the politicians! God help us.
Why don’t we just get rid of Big Congress?
