I’ll bet Teddy Kennedy’s liquor cabinet takes up a lot of space.

The “dictation” is proceeding swimmingly, isn’t it, Senator Kennedy?

Saddam probably cherished his secret hideaways too.

Of course they have secret hideaways where they can’t be bothered by nasty things such as constituents.

They are a higher class of citizen than the rest of us.

I hope these are decorated and maintained at taxpayer expense in a style and fashion that helps them to know how important and special they are.

Too bad hideaways don’t open from the outside only.

I really am fed up with elected officials; our country could draft its leaders randomly out of the population and come up with less corrupt and smarter leaders than the goobers we now have infesting the system from top to bottom.

Must be another door Kennedy uses. This one isn't wide enough.

"He frequently turned his hideaway into a love nest," Robert Parker said in his memoir, "Capitol Hill in Black and White." "He would invite a woman there at the end of the day to 'take dictation."'

According to a current staffer, Senator Edward Kennedy, D-Mass., uses his hideaway for similar purposes, and often it is Senator Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., who 'takes dictation' from him.

The staff knows a lot of what goes on around there.

Bet she needs a magnifying glass to give that dictation in the hideaway...and a scuba tank if doing it on the road.

keep trying to ram this amnesty nonsense down our throats and these people are certainly going to need some hiding places. Don’t worry— we’ll find you!

Problems solved!!

The premise here is politicians need a hideaway and for good reason, the last thing they want, is to be confronted by everyday people who work hard and play by the rules.

“That’s his little kingdom.”

And that right there is the heart of the problem.

Why do we have to supply the congressionals with a hiding place as well as an office?

Hideaways have been popular places for legislative dealmaking — even a little monkey business, too.

Maybe we can hold their trials in their special rooms, and then we can hang them.
