Immigration? No problem. Education? No problem. But we have to hassel people who want a beer.
To: don-o
Great. They card all beer buyers but refuse to card any voters.

The universal carding law means that all retailers are on the same page, said Kelly. There will be consistent training of clerks. Customers can expect to have their I.D. checked at any store in Tennessee that sells beer. Translation: "The universal carding law means that our competition is forced to provide the same lousy customer service that we give."

Knowing W, he’ll probably try to use beer cards as a path to citizenship.

Not really. As soon as Teddy finds out he'll work out an amendment for the amnesty bill to exempt them.

What do the three stars on the Tennessee flag represent ?

“How stupid. We really have a strange fear of booze overhear. Kids can join the army before they can have a beer. A lot of other western countries allow booze from a much younger and chaos hasnt resulted.”

I am aghast at the outright stupidity of a law that makes a store owner, who has been in business for 30 years, card a customer every time he comes in, that has been buying beer there for 30 years. insane.

If you look up the reason for why we need term limits in Washington, you will find a two word answer:
"Edward Kennedy"

The three stars on the flag represent the three different land forms in Tennessee. Mountains in the east, highlands in the middle and lowlands in the west. On the flag these regions are bound together in an unbroken circle. The field is crimson with a blue background for the stars. The final blue strip relieves the sameness of the crimson field and prevents the flag from showing too much crimson when it is limp.

Policies like this turn workers into automatons instead of thinking adults exercising common sense.Mindless automatons are exactly what the government wants. This is just another example of the 'zero tolerance' insanity run amok.
Your reaction to the mindless moron who wouldn't sell you beer was right on target.

I wonder how many old ladies coming in to buy alcohol, who don’t know this is now the rule, will be flattered thinking they got carded because they looked young?

Hmmmmm. Glad I quit drinking. Me too but I didn't quit smoking and I can only laugh at those who thought the nannyhood would stop at smoking. Haha

I was in the Chattanooga area this past week. Very lovely with mountains, streams and lots of trees. As we flew in to Chattanooga, I noticed a curious water impoundment on the top of a mountain, looking like a small power dam. Any idea what this is ?

The 3 states of TN. West, Middle, and East. The Tenessee river cuts the state into 3 pieces.

Mabye, but I know the mentality of this tobacco-growing state. They will sell cigarettes to 11 year olds.
