Looks like Syria and Iran are looking to blow the Middle East wide open. Could be a long summer in the desert.

All “unnamed” officials from a “tabloid”. If and when I ever see a column of Iranian tanks reported by the USAF entering Iraq then I will show some concern.

Iran should be bombed back to the 7th century, putting all Iranians on foot and in the dark. And not just the Nuclear sites, we should destroy Iran’s entire Energy industry, a “true strategic bombing”. Every pipeline, tank farm, power plant, refinery, and tanker truck and rail car should be destroyed. With 30% unemployment, 30% of those with jobs working for the Government, terrible inflation, riots/demonstrations already common, and now with everyone including the Government on foot and in the dark, large sections of Iran would be in revolt in short order. Without communications and transportation, the Government would be helpless to prevent the spread of Revolution.
Sure this would cause some pain at the pump for mankind, but it would also terrify every nation whose only asset is oil, that the USA could do the same thing to them, I think they will be very forth coming in producing more oil. It would also remind the entire world that the global trading system is an American system, secured by American power, and America can refuse to let you play. Every potential enemy will have to re-examine their relationship with the USA, to make sure they don’t risk getting bombed back into the 7th century.

Just give them amnesty, or a “path to citizenship”

It's times like these we could use a little less talk and more Jimbo and Ned.

"We have hard proof that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps have crossed the border to attack us. It is very hard for us to strike back. All we can do is try to defend ourselves. We are badly on the back foot."

Stupid question .. but if they are in Iraq ... then what can't we attack them?

They can also say oops sorry after the fact

Anything better than the Sun Tabloid reporting this?

With the Iranians supplying shaped charged IEDs in Iraq, we might as well start bombing selected targets such as IED manufacturing sites in Iran.

These IEDs are killing US soldiers in Iraq, and now the Iranians are directly crossing in Afghanistan, which has NATO troops.

Iran is between a rock and hard place as I believe it has borders with Turkey, Iraq, and Afghanistan. All three of these countries have an interest in keeping the lunatics in charge of Iran at bay as well as concerns for nuclear weapons in Iran.

Maybe I’ll be busier than I thought when I arrive in Iraq in December. Maybe payback for the 1983 bombing in Beirut.

Yep as Tennessee Ernie Ford Williams wrote it’s going to be a Long Hot Summer.

I wonder why the British have not retaliated against this aggression.

You know if Iran is doing it to the British and they do not respond then it will not be long before their doing it in American sectors.

Why isn’t the Maim Stream Press picking up on this.

Good thing we have Internet and Talk Radio so we can get the real news.

If we know where they are at, then I would say hit them with B-52s. Then send 12 Apache Helicopters to do a MOP up whats left. I think that would send the message.
