Called the RNC today and told them I wanted the last two years of contributions back. They said they would send the money I sent them just for the last 12 months - $75.
The first jerk hung up on me when I insisted I wanted at least two years $$ back so I had to call back.
I don't know if they are getting the message or not.

Big bump. Bankrupting the pro-La Raza RNC is one way to get the message across. I will contact them too.
Great job. But I stopped giving to the RNC several years ago. Too bad, because I would enjoy asking for my moeny back.

First of all, you’re talking to people working the phones. Not only do they not get it, they don’t care really. Just taking calls.
I’m convinced that the politicians have positioned themselves to profit from this amenesty no matter what happens. Amnesty passes, the politicians get booted, maybe, but retire wealthy.
If you give it for a purpose, with a realistic right of an expected result, and feel cheated, you have every right to want it back, IMO.
I sent them a zero peso note yesterday. I wonder if I can get that back?

You might consider that by showing Republicans that they lose our financial support when they vote liberal, THAT may make our country better. When they act like Democrats, why give to them?

I have done the same thing a couple times when they called, and several times by return mail when they sent a request for a donation. Always say I am supporting only real conservatives, NO RINOs!
You came back with an honest question. I’m sorry I don’t have a good answer. I’ve been following politics for fifty years and it just seems it gets worse. My personal favorite right now is Fred Thompson, but you know I’ve come to a conclusion I don’t care who you pick, pick anyone you want and say they got elected, name your dream team, they couldn’t change this government. A friend told me once we need to tear this system down and start over.
Frame that check and put it in a deserving place in your home office or library.
New Gov’t. Same original Constitution. Only one amendment: Anybody making more amendments will be immediately shot.
If you think the RNC is doing such a fabulous job you can always pick up the slack for the rest of us and donate big bucks. Nobody’s stopping you.
I’d ask for my money back, but I stopped donating to the party a few years ago, and have no plans to ever do so again. I’ll donate to individual conservative candidates, but the Republican Party as a whole doesn’t deserve my hard-earned money.
Poor liberal Hispanics making political donations? Get real. Those leopards won’t change their spots if Dubya gave them each a million bucks.

I’d like to see a campaign started involving democrats and republicans who are fed up with the politicians and thier politics as usual where there would be a designated day where everybody goes to local election supervisors office and changes thier party affiliation to independent.
It just might send a strong enough message.
I’m just trying to figure out a way to send them a message without having to do it at the expense of an election itself.
