The first cloture vote was nothing but for show. It was for the drama queens of the Senate to feel important for another 3 or 4 days.......This bill was never going to pass (as it was).

We can’t forget the lessons we learned from this.

We can’t forget the arrogance displayed by many so-called conservatives who called us bigots, racists, etc., and who took umbrage that we dared to call and write them expressing our views on this important issue. We saw their true colors during this debate and we must never forget it.

Now that we've won this battle, the pissed off "grand bargainers," with Bush's help no doubt, will try to exact retribution from Talk Radio by trying to resurrect the Fairness Doctrine and put Rush, Sean, Laura, Mark, Glen, and all the others off the air.
