Now... ride the wave and introduce a BORDER CONTROL BILL -- with no amnesties, legalization, or other crap -- and stop the illegals from coming in! It makes no sense to bail out the boat while you're still taking in enough water to sink you!

Perfect summary: The American People Won Today. This does not happen too often. We should enjoy the moment and be thankful to our Creator that America still has a chance to salvage its future.

YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFRENCE! Your phone calls, e-mails and letters have made the difference. The political class pandered to powerful special interests. You took them on and you took on the President Of The United States and won. Our constitutional system of checks and balances works. If Congress wants to pass an immigration bill, it has to pass something you accept, not a behind the doors deal cooked up a handful of Senators who wanted to give the President a very questionable legacy. We knew it wasn't right for the country. But we'll keep at it until we do get our laws enforced and our borders secured and a fair immigration system is established in our nation, that works to put America's interests FIRST. That must be our guiding thought in the years ahead.

"We all look forward to the day that De Mint is the senior senator from South Carolina."Boxer, Fineswine, the Clintoons, Reid, Kennedy, Kerry and other left wing fascists in Congress will now try to silence Rush, Hannity, Anne and Free Republic in the dark corridors of the capitol.
They need to remember what happened to the Italian Fascists, who gained power before WWII at their end of WWII.

FYI...I proposed this plan on an earlier thread..
DeMint resigns his Senate seat next year, then runs against Graham in the primary..DeMInt wins, and wins the general election easily. Gov. Sanford can appoint a real conservative South Carolinian to the balance of DeMint's term.

Effective Tuesday, November 11, 2008.
I understand that shortly after that day Lindsey Graham will be holding a yard sale. Who needs all that fancy Wash DC stuff if you’re just gonna go off someplace and sell insurance?

It is a victory, until they try to fix it again.
I think they should put it on a ballot and the the American people vote.....
Oh wait, the illegals with fake ID's will only vote in Amnesty!

The President has said that the border security measures can be implemented over the next 18 months, and they can be done under current law.
Ok, let's see if our current administration will hire those 10,000 Border Patrol Agents, build 800+ miles of REAL barrier fence system, install all those hundreds of cameras and sensors and in general "git tuf" on the mexican border.
I got $100.00 that sez we don't see squat.

Please! If your Senator voted the right call his/her office and tell them thank you. Very important, they withstood the pressure from the leadership and the President and still did the right thing. A thank you goes a long way.
