I was worried about Brownback. Glad to see he made the right move.
If I counted it correctly, 12 Rs voted ‘Yeah’ while 14 Ds voted ‘NAY’. Unfortunately, some of the 14 Nays, did so for a different reason than Freepers’ : they thought the bill was not progressive enough!
Your senator Roberts did right too!
WOOHOOO!
Great, first we lost almost all our Republican house members, not Lugar goes and votes Yea. Well Mr. Lugar your yes vote was a no vote from me during the next election cycle. At least with a Dem I know what I am getting.
Lott is ready for my recall. Cochran fought off the WH strong arm job.
What can a lame duck president do to a sitting senator anyway?
It would be cool if one of our “typist” Freepers could do a database sheet showing how the R’s and Dem’s voted (yea or nay)
Thanks for the post but with my two senators...Boxer and Feinstein...no need for me to check. I know how they voted. Now there is a rumble of marches with riots and violence. [sigh] This might be a long summer.
I’m disappointed in Lieberman.
Brownback is misnamed......that is a yellow streak up his back!Y.....back fit him better!
I know how you feel, brother. I've got Cantwell and Murray up here in Washington.
Encouraging to see the “new guy” Barrasso from Wyoming voted against it.
All Florida freepers are advised to get on board www. RecallMel.com. This Martinez has got to go. I signed up, would that you will also.
P.S. It also appears that out-of state voters can sign, although they will not count for the recall. Id ea being a huge response also nationwide will bide well.
It’s not just this bill, Brownback is very pro-immigration, and has been for quite a while. While I disagree with him, he’s genuinely pro-immigration for respectable reasons.
That’s why I was surprised to see him end up with a no on this vote. He’s wanted immigration reform for a looong time.
Those who would surrender our country yesterday, will try to do so again tomorrow.
They must go, regardless of their politically motivated “change of heart”.
He only made the right move as a reversal after he had made the wrong vote and the result was clear.
