Who are the Senators that think 70% of you, don't know anything

First off, CONGRATULATIONS, nothing, and we mean nothing has affected the Legislature branch of government than you did about immigration this past month.  You shut down the phone system for all of the capitol building on Thursday.  You emailed, faxed, wrote, and relentlessly phoned your Senators that this amnesty (immigration) plan was horrible.   In keeping with our great philosophy of providing you with the facts, consider this a reminder when you vote for these Senators at their next election.

Immigration Vote

Grouped by Home State (June 26th 2007)

If they voted YEA, they wanted to give amnesty to Illegal Aliens and really cared less about SECURING OUR BORDERS.

If their name is in RED, some would say they're traitors to you and I.  However, the same vote came about on June 28, 2007.  With your onslaught of phone calls, look who changed their mind.  Makes you wonder if they really got it, or they got a little worried about their re-election status.

Even though they finally got it right this time around, it's still real shady on their part not to vote against it in the first place.  Congrats to Alaska, Ohio, and Virginia you changed both of your Senators mind about the vote.  We only post this, because when it comes to election time, we don't want to forget, and if 80% of America can rally around an immigration plan, why can't we still SECURE OUR BORDERS SENATORS?

Now, let's all try to understand something here. If all these calls "made a difference" on defeating this POS Amnesty Bill, then why can't WE do it on other Bills?

Here's one for you to chew on. La Raza is the hispanic group pushing to grant amnesty to illegal aliens to acheive their goal of taking control of a portion of the southwest the think belongs to them. did you know there is a bill before Congress that will grant them millions of dollars for their cause? here it is;

110th CONGRESS

1st Session

H. R. 1999 To authorize appropriations for assistance for the National Council of La Raza and the Raza Development Fund.

IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

April 23, 2007 Mr. HINOJOSA (for himself and Mr. RENZI) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Financial Services

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A BILL To authorize appropriations for assistance for the National Council of La Raza and the Raza Development Fund.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the `Hope Fund Act of 2007'.

SEC. 2. ASSISTANCE FOR NATIONAL COUNCIL OF LA RAZA AND RAZA DEVELOPMENT FUND.

(a) Use- The Secretary of Housing and Urban Development shall, to the extent amounts are made available pursuant to subsection (b), make a grant to the National Council of La Raza for the purpose of providing technical and financial assistance to local non-profit organizations to undertake community development and affordable housing projects and programs serving low- and moderate-income households, particularly through organizations located in neighborhoods with substantial populations of income-disadvantaged households of Hispanic origin. Assistance provided by the Secretary under this section may be used by the National Council of La Raza or the Raza Development Fund to--

(1) provide technical and financial assistance for site acquisition and development, construction financing, and short- and long-term financing for housing, community facilities, and economic development;

(2) leverage capital from private entities, including private financial institutions, insurance companies, and private philanthropic organizations;

(3) provide technical assistance, training, support, and advice to develop the management, financial, and administrative capabilities of housing development organizations serving low-income households, including Hispanic households; and

(4) conduct such other activities as may be determined by the Secretary and the National Council of La Raza.

(b) Authorization of Appropriations- There is authorized to be appropriated for grants under this section--

(1) $5,000,000 for fiscal year 2008; and

I tried to look at the immigration bill on Thomas, but it “wasn’t available”. Does anyone have a link to the actual bill?

The link is http://thomas.loc.gov

Here’s your link to the actual bill, if you can force yourself from vomiting at the lady killer who wrote it, you can find my source for writing the article.

The Congressional recess coming up should afford many of us the opportunity to get some valuable “face time” with our respective congress critters. Some of these folks will be holding Town Hall Meetings around their states/districts. A call to one of their local offices or a visit to their web sites ought to give you the schedule.

The recent immigration dust-up brought a lot of new folks into the fray over who runs the country. Because the forces of darkness never rest, IT IS VITAL THAT THESE NEW FOLKS NOT GO BACK TO SLEEP. Sadly, most of them will.

I predicted that illegal immigration would be a hot-button issue over 10 years ago when more than 70% of those at Newt’s meetings – where I regularly went to gin up support for the Fair Tax (then called the National Retail Sales Tax) — were mad as hell and beating him up on the illegal situation. While he never has come out directly for the Fair Tax, more than once, Newt coupled the two issues by suggesting that the over 100,000 IRS agents be given a weapon and training and sent to guard the border with Mexico. Newt KNOWS how to couple.

If YOUR critters ARE having meetings – and if not during THIS recess, unless their names are Reid, Pelosi, Graham or Schumer, they will almost certainly have them in the run-up to the election – please think about attending, taking the mike and telling them what YOU think. Even if THEY fail to heed your words, you just may educate the audience to some new problem. Heck, you may even get a heart-warming round of applause.

If nothing else, it’s excellent THEATER to watch some of these folks artfully dodge questions, shuck and jive around a tough issue about which they have absolutely NO knowledge, have their overflowing drool-cups changed by one of their flunkies, etc. so TAKE A CARLOAD with you.

See you there???

To me the worst aspect of this near disaster is this:

The bill was so poorly thought out and written that none of the Senators really knew and understood the total content.

They could not have a clear view of what the total impact would be but overall it was clearly against the best interests of the country.

Yet anywhere from 46 to 64 Senators and the President of the USA were prepared to vote it into law.

They had no problem disregarding these facts:

1 - The bill was full of conflicting provisions, half truths, ouright lies

2 - Many of the provisions were so unrealistic that everyone knew the government would not and could not keep its word to implement them

3 - There were a few (very few) somewhat reasonable ammendments that everyone knew would be stripped out before the bill became law

4 - The cost projections were astronomical

5 - There would be very little positive impact on reducing the entry of illegals

Many of the Senators along with the President and some of his cabinet act as if they are in office to persue the agenda of the pro-illegal groups instead of the interests of the republic and the voters who put them in office and pay their salaries.
The Secretary of Homeland Security spent his time lecturing us on the needs of illegal aliens instead of explaining why he isin’t protecting our borders.

We need a total overhaul of the government.

Hey, I love the Fair Tax Plan, it’s the most researched bill ever to be introduced into legislation. You all think people got interested in Immigration, if you all knew only 10% of what the Fair Tax plan does how excited you would all be. Hence a article I written a few months ago.

Senator Brownback voted for amnesty before he voted against it!

Which means he has to go. He can't be trusted. He still believes in amnesty and will vote for it if he thinks he can get away with it. The only way to protect our country is to get him out of office.

Personally, I think that applies to every one of them that switched. Nothing but a vote of political expediency.

Oh I agree, Senator “Brokeback” is a douche bag, you watch, he’ll get slammed in the primary, personally, I think he is only a presidential candidate because he knows his “pretty cheeks” won’t survive a primary election in Kansas without this type of exposure.

McConnell switched from Yea to Nay from Tuesday to Thursday, but on the Thursday vote, he didn’t bother to vote UNTIL there were the necessary 40 Nays to kill the bill. So, I’m not putting much stock in that switch. I think he just voted Nay to tell the folks back here in KY that he voted the way we wanted him to at last. I’m still not convinced he actually wanted the bill defeated.

Anyone who votes for this bill should be kicked out of office. La Raza(The Race) is a bigoted hate filled organization made up of latinos that want to reconquer the southwest. So if this bill passes congress has taken YOUR money and given it to this dispicable group who wants to take over the southwest.

Here’s some good news for our boy Mel:

“Florida Sen. Mel Martinez After being named chairman of the Republican National Committee — giving him a powerful bully pulpit for the party — Martinez wasn’t able to muster much political muscle in support of immigration reform.

And his backing of the bill has cost him politically back home, according to a just-released InsiderAdvantage poll. According to the poll, Martinez’s approval rating in Florida is now at 23 percent, while 47 percent disapprove of his performance. Thirty-one percent said they had no opinion.”

We will remember in 2010.

I’m so glad that we changed Norm Coleman’s mind on this, but he still has RINO leanings.

As for the Fair Tax, I really have to think on this. On the onset, it looks like a good idea, but something about it is eating at me and I haven’t figured it out yet.

Yes! They are mine too, and they do need the boot! I signed the petition to re-call Martinez, but guess I am dreaming that it could possibly be done!
