LOL! Try it, you’ll like it. If you run the dull side of a table knife down the center of a lobster, this will make the lobster curl and will paralyze it. That’s how you keep a live lobster from nipping you, for example. We always used to do this before dumping them in the pot, because then they’re paralyzed and totally without sense at that moment. Not that a lobster has a lot of “sense” going on anyway, of course.

Oh I hate that. Spend a day chasing quail through the hills - hear them but don’t see a single one. Hot, exhausted, pack up into the Jeep to head back to civilization... and a covey waltz across the road right in front of you.
I think they do it on purpose. They’re very smart birds.
