Immigration fiasco needs criminal review, activist says

Advocates for the legal process through which immigrants arrive in the United States, fresh from a successful battle in Washington to defeat President Bush's comprehensive immigration reform proposal, say they will be returning – to lobby for a criminal investigation into the government's failure to enforce existing immigration laws.

"We plan to return to Washington in the next week or two, and light up the phone lines again," said William Gheen, president of Americans for Legal Immigration-PAC, which was a key partner in the grass-roots campaign that triggered the recent defeat of the immigration plan.

"We're going to put pressure on Congress, not to stop a bill, but to demand that Congress launch an immediate investigation into the White House to determine what criminal prosecutions may be warranted relating to not enforcing our existing laws," he said.

"It's not for the president to decide what laws to obey or enforce. That's not what presidents do. That's what kings do," he said.

As WND has reported, the comprehensive immigration plan that was being proposed in the Senate failed by a significant margin, largely because of the tens of thousands of U.S. citizens who called expressing their opposition.

The plan was killed by an earlier procedural move, then resurrected following more than a week of intense lobbying on the part or the president. It was killed again, however, by a similar margin.

The plan would have set up a legal status for the estimated 12-20 million illegal aliens in the United States already, and made some other changes in the law, including what the White House described as a large commitment of billions of dollars to secure the border and enforce the nation's existing laws against illegal entry.

Excellent.

I sent each of my congresscritters a email yesterday afternoon asking why the borders aren't being secured and why the 1986 immigration act was not being enforced.

I also asked if they expected the citizens to secure the borders and if so, it won't be pretty.

Citizens who lose their loved ones killed by drunken illegal aliens in car accidents or murdered should sue the federal government in general and the White House/Homeland Security in particular.

Many lawyers would love to do it on contingency.

That will force them to enforce immigration laws.

“say they will be returning – to lobby for a criminal investigation into the government’s failure to enforce existing immigration laws.”

I pray that’s true.

It’s insane. We also can’t sue the government for NOT doing its job. Perhaps through THIS we can FORCE them to uphold the EXISTING LAWS.

I think it would be an error to re channel our effort into a witch hunt.

We should keep pressure on our congress critters to enforce the boarder and existing laws and then vote them out of office and try them for treason.

yes - perhaps witch hunt is not a good term to use but my point is that we should remain focused on what we started.

a criminal investigation into the government's failure to enforce existing immigration laws

This absolutely needs to be done. It's unfortunate that a failure which has been perpetuated by every administration since 1986 falls in the lap of Dubya, but enough is enough.

The entire fiasco of NOT enforcing our border is all part of the “One World Government” order that is supported by President Bush, his father, the Clintons and Dick Cheney. It is not a matter of keeping illegals out, in their minds, it is rather an effort to weaken America. We are, already, a debtor nation, our technology, energy and banking industries are no longer in American control. We are seeing the results of an effort by this and the Clinton Adminstration, to bring down the individual power of America. Look at the NAFTA Highway, it is still in the works and the complicent media has done their job, hushing it up and not allowing the American people knowledge of the advancing construction plans. This is but one phase of the Globalist community’s machinations to neuter our power. Nice to know that the Bush-Clinton cabal is still running the show which started when Poppy Bush became veep for Reagan, the next phase will be when Hillary wins the Whitehouse.

Sorry Freekitty, but under the doctrine of sovereign immunity, long established and deemed a part of the Constitution by numerous Supreme Court opinions, the government is immune to suit unless it grants a right to do so. To quote Justice Scalia, such waivers of sovereign immunity are to be narrowly construed, meaning that the waiver must be very explicit and concern very limited types of suits.

As much as I sympathize with your sentiments, the way to deal with this is by electing those who will actually do what they say. That's a tuffee. Any suggestions?

More Americans killed by illegal aliens than Iraq war, study says

When you start digging into the numbers the only ones that can be sourced with the feds are the number of American murdered in 2005: 16692
I have seen federal numbers for illegals held in jail ranging from 19.3% to 27% of the federal prison population.

Here's a sampling of USA cities wanted for murder. What you'll see is that in big USA cities like LA or NYC most of the murderers are Hispanic. Unknown are the % of illegals. In smaller cities the FBI will post the nationalities of the murderers. About 25% of the most wanted are illegals wanted for murder. This number agrees with the percentage of illegals incarcerated in federal prisons. +-25%

Pictures of top 10 most wanted in LA. Up until recent stories about crime in LA posted by the LA Times--the pictures included the nationality of the murderers. They were all foreign nationals and mostly Mexican.

Wanted for Murder in New York City.

Chicago wanted for Murder

Philadelphia wanted for murder

San Francisco wanted for Murder

New Orleans wanted for Murder

Pictures of suspects wanted for murder in Washington DC

FBI USA 10 most wanted. (two of 10 are Mexican nationals)

There are currently no exact numbers on the number of Americans killed by illegals. Part of the reason is that the government deliberately obscures the number. I talked on the phone with the head of statistics for the US Bureau of Prisons. He said his office wasn't allowed to publish the number of illegal alien murderers. Rather they were forced to put legal and non legal residents in the same category. I talked to ICE. They put out detailed numbers on illegal child molestors. However, they put out nothing on illegal murderers.

Part of the reason for the silence on the matter is that there is evidence to suggest that most Americans being killed by illegals are black--as is the suggestion in this LA Times Article.

All that said, it could be argued that if you include the number of illegals in state and local prisons the number of illegals in jail shrinks to 6% of the total prison population. Never the less if you multiply 16692 (the number of americans murdered in 2005) * .06 (illegal alien percent of total prison population) * 4 (the number of years the US has been in Iraq). The result is that more americans (4006) have been killed by illegals than have been killed in the Iraq war.

This point needs to be hammered home. Just as the liberals have hammered home the point about americans killed in Iraq.

To look at other USA cities go here http://stlouis.fbi.gov/ and replace stlouis with the city you want.
