The case for mistrusting Muslims

ARRIVING IN BRITAIN by air the day after two men crashed a gasoline-laden Jeep Cherokee into the main terminal at Glasgow's international airport, and a couple of days after two car bombs were discovered in the heart of London, I was surprised by how calm everybody was.

Apart from the prohibition of passenger drop-off and pickup next to the terminal building at Birmingham Airport, everything was as usual. Men and women in Muslim garb mingled in the crowd with perfect tranquillity, expecting neither violence nor even verbal reproach.

Was this a sign of the admirable tolerance of British society, or of its bovine complacency born of an inability, or unwillingness, to make the effort to defend itself? Was it decency, cowardice or stupidity?

I really don't know anymore, which is an indication of the problem: Only time will tell, and by then it might be too late.

A friend who met me at the airport said something that must by now be true of many ordinary British people. Just as we used to wonder, on meeting Germans of a certain age, what they had done during World War II, so she wondered, when she found herself next to a young Muslim on a bus or a train, what he thought of the various bombings perpetrated by his co-religionists and whether he might be a bomber. She found herself looking for the nearest exit, as we are all enjoined to do by flight attendants before the plane takes off, in case of the need for swift exit.

Just my lowly opinion of a Red State wannabe.

Somehow, someway there's going to be a day of reckoning for these cultist's.

At some point their going to push the envelop over the edge so far that even the lowliest Hollywood liberal is going to say it’s gone to far.

Someday................

What’s scary is the event that will force that to happen.

their cheap labor that we imported in the 1960s in a vain effort to bolster the dying textile industry, which could not find local labor, is now redundant.

The true cost of "cheap labor" is never cheap.

I agree, but there are a couple problems with that.

First, it would take an atrocity of even greater magnitude than 9/11, or maybe even a couple of them for that to happen (which is sort of rough on the folks at Ground Zero)

Second, even if the consensus of the dispicability of the cultists were to be overwhelmingly expanded, there are still enough people who would be unwilling to take action against them because it would upset their whole multicultural, humanist, liberal, anticapitalist applecart.

They can't afford to admit the slightest possibility that they were wrong because their entire world-view depends on us right-wingers being the very incarnation of evil.

Now, especially in academia, media and in much of the world's entrenched bureaucracies, they have the power and the microphone. They would not be willing to give that up even if the Jihadis are blowing their own families into mincemeat.

QUITE RIGHT! Hopefully sooner rather than later. The hate the Joos crowd/cultist need their day of reckoning too. Watch for the buzz words from this bunch.

That’s an excellent point, the preferred outcome is never having to deal with such an event. I think a great start would be securing our borders and taking a realistic, non-PC look at immigration. I am not talking knee-jerk reactions here, on the contrary, I mean deliberate, methodical pursuits in which we take a realistic approach and stop pretending we don’t know things, we, in fact, do know. No one is entitled to come to America, Islamic and otherwise. We need to think about who we are allowing to receive American educations and allowing to enter our country. This country was conceived without any assistance from islam and has thrived without them. We do not need them and as long as it remains this moronic death cult, it defies common sense to continue allowing the foxes into the hen house. If their behavior changes, so to can ours. The choice is theirs to make in that regard, but ours where the safety and tranquility of America is concerned.

Yes, your so correct.

If one reads and believes the bible we are getting close to being into the last days.

It seems to me that the stars, so to speak, are lining up just right for the last days to take place.

It looks like Russians was for a while out of the equation but Putin keeps putting them back in at every chance.

The situation in Iran should be most chilling to those who believe in Christianity.

It looks as though there will be another war in the Middle east and this time it will be worse than at anytime before because Iran will have an atomic bomb to hopefully drop on Israel.

Yes. things are not good and there getting worse.

How can anyone trust a group whose written charter tells them to invade, take over, convert all countries, killing those who resist? How can anyone trust a cult that glorifies the members who kill non-members, makes videos of them and posts their pictures? How can anyone trust a death cult that hardly ever condemns the violence against non-members, and then only in terms that blame the victims?

Every time I talk with my alGore supporting son I want to spit.

I just cringe that Democrats have the same feeling for this country as do Conservatives.

God forgive me but this great nation in the hands of democrats would disastrous for the world.

“Iran will have an atomic bomb to hopefully drop on Israel”

I know you made a mistake and didn’t mean that. I just wanted to point it out to you.:) Iran can not be allowed to have nuclear weapons, period. We need a warrior in the WH and that is the one that is going to get my vote. Sanctions and blockades, as some have suggested will be no more efficacious than the UN’s sternly worded letters. It will take a brilliant, quick and decisive surgical strike complete with all the logistics to make it possible.

Yes, your so correct.

It is not fathomable in my mind for Iran to ever have the ability to produce an Atomic weapon.

This AlmaIamanutjob will use it the first opportunity.

You make a lot of sense. However, we may be 40 years late figuring it out.

"Now, despite friendly and long-lasting relations with many Muslims, my first reaction on seeing Muslims in the street is mistrust; ..."

Kind of like having a pet rattlesnake, isn't it?

I have had Muslim co-workers with whom I have been friendly..but who really knows?

I have Arab friends, but they are Christian. It's not nationality or regional, or looks..it's a Muslim Thing.

You got that right. If, in fact, we have figured it out. That remains to be seen.
