Supporters of Operation Iraqi Freedom will conduct a nationwide caravan along with more than 2-dozen rallies calling for continued support of U.S. troops based in Iraq in the days leading up to General David Petraeus September 15th report to Congress.
From September 3, 2007 through September 15, 2007 the nations largest grassroots, pro-troop organization, Move America Forward (website: www.MoveAmericaForward.org) will lead thousands of supporters in a cross-country effort called the FIGHT FOR VICTORY TOUR.

Well launch the cross-country caravan Monday, September 3rd with rallies outside the offices of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid in Nevada and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in California, said Melanie Morgan, Chairman of Move America Forward.
The caravan will then continue across the nation until we reach Washington, D.C. for a giant pro-troop rally on September 15th the day that General David Petraeus, the U.S. Commanding General in Iraq, delivers his report on The Surge to Congress, Morgan said.
During the cross-country caravan we will stop and conduct pro-troop rallies that will be attended by thousands upon thousands of patriotic Americans who believe that our leaders cannot be allowed to undercut our troops who are bravely serving on the frontlines of the war against Islamic jihadism, said Robert Dixon, Executive Director of Move America Forward.
The current schedule for the caravan includes pro-troop rally stops in more than 2 DOZEN cities across America including: Carson City, NV - Sacramento, CA - San Francisco, CA Modesto, CA - Fresno, CA - Los Angeles, CA - San Diego, CA - Yuma, AZ - Phoenix, AZ - Tucson, AZ - Las Cruces, NM - El Paso, TX - San Antonio, TX - Waco, TX - Crawford, TX - Dallas, TX - Oklahoma City, OK - Wichita, KS - Kansas City, MO - Des Moines, IA - Cedar Rapids, IA - Chicago, IL - Indianapolis, IN - Cincinnati, OH - Columbus, OH Pittsburgh, PA - Washington D.C.

Move America Forward sent an email out on this last night. It's been in the works for 3 weeks. During that time other groups have recognized the same need and everything's falling together for a giant push on September 15th.
Among the groups involved in MAF's cross-country "Fight For Victory Tour" effort or the September 15th event are:
* Gathering of Eagles
* Vets for Freedom
* OpposeReid.com
* Eagles Up
...and of course the good folks here at... * FreeRepublic.com
I also believe that the Patriot Guard Riders and Military Order of the Purple Heart are on board but since we at Move America Forward haven't yet communicated with them I don't want to put words in their mouths.
Patriotic, Pro-Troop, PING!
We Fight Back PING!!!
Bumpity BUMP!!!
Thanks for the ping!
If I lived west, I’d do the caravan. Though I live northeast, I will absolutely try to make at least one rally.
This may be our most important battle with the naive view that withdrawal from Iraq will make all of the terrorists go home and live peacefully ever after. What fairy tale land do these liberals live in?
As discouraged as we all are with the tepid actions of the White House, we can’t let that slow us down. I hope everyone will participate in some way.
Email this link to your email list; contribute to MAF to pay for the caravan; attend the caravan stops and travel along if you can; be in Washingotn DC on September 15th for a strong showing that America supports our troops and the war on terrorism.
There is something that everyone can do. We can’t get complacent and be discouraged. It is time to fight because the future of freedom may very well be at stake.
Hope you can!
Add Protest Warrior to that list, specifically DC Protest Warrior.
why is the Southeast region being left out??
We'll be updating the MAF website and also our promotional materials later today and I'll be sure to add DC Protest Warriors.
So now tell me who should MAF link to?
The DC Chapter Blog - http://dcprotestwarrior.blogspot.com/
The national website? - hq.protestwarrior.com
or.... ???
Let me know and I'll pass it on.
Maybe they are not leaving us out, but challenging us to sign on. The Home of CentComm is on board. Count me in from Tampa.
Because we can’t humanly make it to every corner of the country. The “These Colors Don’t Run” caravan in March that teamed up with the Gathering of Eagles did go through the Southeast. We had a blast there and I wish we were going back again.
That would be a great thing to have happen.
A few of the routes sketched out in the early days of planning had the southeast - including stops in Jacksonville and Tallahassee. It just didn't make it in the final settlement.
Let's see what we can work out to have a southern leg merge with the rest of the good folks who will be taking part.
any change of heading by Murtha’s office?
In DC?

Let's do it even bigger and better than the last time!

Yes, probably so!! ‘No doubt so!
My computer is running like molasses, something with my cable modem!
We will be at the Oklahoma City rally this go around. This is big folks. We were in DC on March 17th and it was awesome. Don’t miss out on an experience you will never forget. Our military needs to see that the American people are standing strong with them. Be there, be counted and be proud!!

Hey NordP - we are reaching out to all the pro-troop presidential candidates. In San Diego we will definitely contact Hunter’s folks, ditto when we go through Iowa.
You've outdone yourself on this one... well at least the power of the imagery itself cuts through all the hot air discussions about Iraq and our troops.
A picture speaks a thousand words and you have 3.
Sounds good - I might send you a FReepMail asking for your input and guidance. We always value the input and recommendations of FReepers to help make these events in the local markets successful.
Thank you Impeach! Every once in awhile a graphic turns out to say more than you ever realized it would!
Let's kick some @ss for the honor of our troops and the safety and security of our nation!
You got it Bro...THANK YOU!!!!!!!
We’re all gonna plant a tree somewhere.

PITTSBURGH!!!!
I put this on GOE and Eagles UP! ....Please Read. Also if you go the Move American Forward they have a couple of others to....
don’t know how realistic this is but .
ANSWER is a coalition right? They have their own website. Maybe we just need a simple website for Sept 15 where all the groups can exchange information. Maybe you want to make it for the leadership only maybe not. Do not have to have a “fancy” website just enough of one to exchange information and not let the ANSWER enemy know more than they have to.
AS I see it there are 4 maybe 5 groups (there might be more major players I do not know about)
Eagles up
GOE
Move America Forward (planning a big presence)
Vets for Freedom (already got a good start)
Eagles Nest
IF our enemy can have a coalition why can’t we inspite of any differences of philosophy or methods?
We need basic information:
Where do we stand and do we stand in one place or travel about?
Where will the port a potties be? (an important issue for some of us if not all)
Will we be chanting something or singing something? (will we have a leader that can lead a group)
a card/flyer should emphasize Sept 15 event and a link to place that has logistical info. I don’t think you will have trouble convincing others to come to this - just give them a place to go and a task to perform. AND Keep it simple for us ‘simple’ people. Don’t confuse us with different logistics on different websites
As you see on the MAF website we're link to each of the groups as they come on board while we simultaneously speak to everyone behind the scenes.
We've told the event organizers that whatever official name is agreed upon for the events of September 15th is what we'll gladly embrace, and that in the interim we're planning the Sept 3rd - 15th contribution we're making as we get the ball rolling with the "Fight for Victory Tour" - the national pro-troop caravan with 25+ pro-troop rallies along the way... to build the momentum leading to the 15th.
There will also be the Sept. 10th event by GOE which we support as well and will help.
On top of that you're going to see Vets for Freedom and Families United doing drills in August to build up to the big September push.
I think we're all fighting for the same goal and doing so constructively and cooperatively.
Just wanted to chime in with the knowledge I have and hope that helps provide further clarity as to what is in the works.
Any questions/comments about any of that? I'll happily answer best I can!!
