“The Great Global Warming Swindle is back up on the net”

Great news and thanks for the new link.
A few weeks ago I was looking everywhere for it but all my previous Google links had dried up.

"Men defend most violently, not the things they know to be true, but the things they fear may be false."

And also the things they KNOW to be false but on which they have bet their reputations, ego and livelihood.

With latest outburst of threats and ad hominem attacks, not reasoned arguments, coming from the high priests of AWG, I have a feeling that they see their house of cards collapsing soon.

Michael T. Eckhart, President of the American Council On Renewable Energy (ACORE) wrote to Competitive Enterprise Institutes Marlo Lewis the following on July 13, 2007: “You are so full of cr*p. You have been proven wrong. The entire world has proven you wrong. You are the last guy on Earth to get it. Take this warning from me, it is my intention to destroy your career as a liar. If you produce one more editorial against climate change, I will launch a campaign against your professional integrity. I will call you a liar and charlatan to the Harvard community of which you and I are members. I will call you out as a man who has been bought by Corporate America. Go ahead, guy. Take me on.”

Hey ... Maybe we should send a letter with the same words to HIM...

HIS BIO: Michael Eckhart is President of the American Council On Renewable Energy (ACORE), co-chairman of the World Council for Renewable Energy (WCRE), and a member of the Steering Committee of the REN 21 global policy network. Mr. Eckhart is a member of the Clinton Global Initiative. He also works through Solar International Management, Inc. on the financing of solar energy (SolarBank), and on the development of a new international debt security called Global Development Bonds (GDB) for the financing of sustainable development in the developing countries. If one builds his/her entire belief system on a false premise, one can expect to be disappointed. In such situations, all questions and criticisms will be regarded as attacks and the smaller the mind/character, the more violent the response.

Well, I'm beat. I say go along with the scientific consensus. When all those bright people agree there's little more to be said, and the rest of us should just go along with it because they can't all be wrong.

Sorry, Mr. Gallileo. It's the stake for you.

This religion of theirs just continues on and on.

I ask the same question each time to the GW hounds and never get an answer. If humans are causing this on earth, why is Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Pluto all warming at the same time according to NASA and other agencies?

It’s a simple question that has yet to be answered.

Funny, I ran into a real [non climate] scientist this morning and asked him if he’d watched Live Earth! He apologized for missing it. He chuckled about Global Warming and I mentioned a former colleague of ours remarks about the ozone hole. I knew a lot of people in the early 1990’s who were experts on the ionosphere. They were shaking their heads about the ozone hole scare, it was just so completely goofy.

Anyway, one guy, an ionospheric scientist, figured that a lot of ionospheric scientists needed to find a new gig with the cold war drying up. Most ionospheric studies were funded by the Air Force and they figured they needed a new sponsor. I guess global warming fit the bill.

The Church’s treatment of Galileo was civil and rational compared to the behavior of GW adherents. I mean that, read the history.

The thing is, the guy was ranting about "climate change", not "global warming." By making "climate change" the new banner, they can shout down the gainsayers with "Climate change is REAL!" and claim that they have scored a point.

Trouble is, nobody will deny THAT. The trouble comes about because they have elided the magic word: "Anthropogenic."

That's what they need to justify. But they won't allow discussion of it.

“As an argument, Global Warming quickly falls apart when you consider the logical steps to reduce it.

We do not fully grasp the causes of GW, (solar, cosmic, clouds, etc.) nor are any there any cost effective fixes as yet, without putting an end to Chinese coal burning and third world slash and burn.”

Actually, there is a cost-effective method to reduce our CO2 generation by half or more: USE NUCLEAR POWER.

By adopting nuclear power for 80% of our electricity generation, the 40% of CO2 from that source (most from coal) could be reduced to nothing. WE can further reduce
CO2 by displacing some of the fossil fuel use in transportation and heating with nuclear-derived electricity.

Consequently, we could with reasonable cost get to a point where our CO2 generation is cut in half.

EVEN BETTER - it wouldn’t cost us anything more than we pay for energy today, because nuclear power is cost-competitive with all other forms of energy.

Question: If this solution for cutting CO2 in half is right there in front of our faces, WHY HASN’T THE GLOBAL WARMING SCAREMONGERS MENTIONED IT?

“Current “solutions” are have been too focused on global wealth transfer, rather than actual climate change.”

.... Uh, yeah, that has something to do with it.
It’s an anti-energy agenda instead of a clean energy agenda.
