Bloomberg Calls Fraternal Order Of Police A "Fringe Organization"
National Rifle Association ^ | Friday, May 18, 2007 | NRA-ILA

Posted on 07/19/2007 9:05:09 AM PDT by Winged Hussar

Anti-gun New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg (R) is at it again. A recent New York Post article detailed how, at a breakfast sponsored by Ladies Home Journal, he took a swipe at the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) for its support of the Tiahrt Amendment, which prohibits the disclosure of confidential firearm trace data except in the course of a bona fide criminal investigation. "It is one fringe organization," charged Bloomberg.

...Further," Canterbury wrote, "it is important to note that at no time prior to the attacks made on the FOP did Mayor Bloomberg or any member of his administration reach out to the FOP to hear our perspective. Given the Mayor's comments and his general attitude, we can only assume this is because the FOP is a labor organization."

Let's see if we can rephrase what this bipedal fertilizer sack said about the Fraternal Order of Police:

Michael Bloomberg: heroes who died trying to rescue 9/11 terror victims were members of a "fringe organization"

Michael Bloomberg: police officers who work in a high-stress and dangerous (as shown by the massive police and firefighter casualties on 9/11) occupation are members of a "fringe organization," in the same class as David Duke's Ku Klux Klan, Al Sharpton's National Action Network, and Tom Metzger's White Aryan Resistance.

We savvy, Mikey boy. We savvy real good, and we encourage people to let the American people know what a two-bit lying piece of trash you really are, despite your billions of dollars. (George Soros is another billionaire who is of little or no value to our country.)

Why do we still have to look at that (R) after his name?

“I” usually stands for IDIOT !!! Old Bloomers sure fits that role. Like Jimmy Carter, Bloomers is becoming more and more insignificant. If he wasn’t rich, people wouldn’t give him the right time of day. Wadda boob !!!

I don’t understand your paraphrasing. If he didn’t actually make those comparisons, why are you?

Re: “IXNAY!!! Keep the cover on this wing-nut until he gets on the ballot in as many states as we can get him in, okay???”

Hmmm, Bloomie might indeed leech as many votes from Clinton or Obama as he will from the good guy. He also wanted to slap a commuter tax on people to make them pay for driving into New York. I can tell you how I would handle that as an employer: move my business, jobs, and the tax revenue that go with them out of Bloomberg’s city. Then he wouldn’t have the traffic, the commuter tolls, or the jobs.

Maybe Gore also will run as in independent and siphon off the votes of all those Live Earth types: nyuk nyuk nyuk.

Re: “I don’t understand your paraphrasing. If he didn’t actually make those comparisons, why are you?” He called the FOP a “fringe organization,” which is a term people usually reserve for the hate groups I named. A lot of FOP members were killed on 9/11 because they went into the Twin Towers to help the victims, and the buildings collapsed on them.

Bloomberg asked for it with his “fringe organization” remark, I think we should take it exactly as read, and cut him no slack whatsoever.

Bloomberg is just another example of the old saying “more money than brains”.

I’m glad he made that statement. LEOS won’t forget. It’s up to us to make sure they know it, from the largest to the smallest police departments across America.
