Some people are just too stupid to have children.

Feed about ten pounds of the stuff to the parents and let them handle the results in a padded sell.

“She was a good parent,” Floyd said. “She had no problems with these children at all until (she and Brandon) got on that crack.”

Like we're supposed to believe that. Amazes me that people have to have a license for dogs but not children.

“Whatever the judge does to her would not hurt near as much as the way she hurts for her children.”

that SHOULD BE “as much as she has hurt her children.”

Those are too kind of words. I cannot express to you how I feel right now.

Judge Kenneth Goode sentenced them each to five years in prison.
Judge Kenneth Goode should get five years himself, for being such a flaming moron. These parents deserved much more than five years.

Let’s hope the prison guards make sure the gen-pop knows about these two and a little street justice is applied.

In the article, the County Solicitor’s office made a deal to cap the sentences at 5 years so the 5 year old would not be dragged through a trial. I personally would like to see the perps drawn and quartered, but I can’t fault the prosecution too much for not wanting to put the young one through the ordeal of a trial.

It's one thing to be addicted, and another to force a drug like crack cocaine on your children.

Scary

Appalling

Where do you live? I have had many dogs and never had to get a license.

BTW do you really want stupid, incompetent, government bureaucrats deciding if you can have a child or not? Sounds a lot like communist China to me.

Agreed. Furthermore, there should be a license application process for having sex. Breathing should be VERY carefully regulated by the government. Defacation and urination are bodily processes that can only be managed well by Our Benevolant Dictatorship.

Why would they make the kids do it? Seems to me they would keep it for personal use.

The boy’s parents — 24-year-old Brandon Suggs and 30-year-old Ragane Suggs — pleaded guilty Wednesday to child abuse with great bodily injury. Judge Kenneth Goode sentenced them each to five years (!!!!!!) in prison. (Emphasis Added)

Please tell me that isn't the statutorial sentencing limit for aggravated child abuse in this state.

It could be true. I have had personal experience with good stable people who had clean homes, nice cars and happy families before getting involved with crack or meth. Their personalities and values change almost instantly and they become paranoid shells of the person they once were.

Detective Danielle Belk of the Cayce Police Department -- “When we were taking them, the 2-year-old, she was obviously upset, she was crying. The 5-year-old, he was just really into his sister's feelings. He kept telling me, please make sure you get her binky, make sure she gets her blanket. She won't sleep without it.”

In a mere moment, Belk realized that in the Suggs family, the roles were reversed.

"The 5-year-old had 8,556 parts per million of cocaine in his system. His little sister had 12,143 parts per million, tests showed."

NOTE: I gather from a statement later in the article that these are the blood levels obtained TWO WEEKS after the children were taken into protective custody??!! The article says it was two weeks later that social workers noticed the children were suffering withdrawal symptoms - so it seems that their blood levels two weeks earlier must have been much higher still?? These monstrous so-called "parents" should never be let out on the streets again - what scum!
