Kansas AG Files to Protect Planned Parenthood

TOPEKA, Kans., July 19 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Kansas Attorney General Paul Morrison filed a motion with the Kansas Supreme Court yesterday in an attempt to intervene in an investigation by the Johnson County District Attorney into possible criminal activity by a Kansas City Planned Parenthood office.

"Although the records are sealed, there are numerous indications that this interference from Morrison's office is an attempt to side with Planned Parenthood in their efforts to reclaim possibly incriminating records from the District Attorney," said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman.

Planned Parenthood and George Tiller were under investigation for the concealment of child rape and illegal abortions by former Attorney General Phill Kline. In an unusual job swap, Morrison took over as A.G. in January while Kline replaced Morrison as Johnson County District Attorney. During his time in the D.A.'s office, Morrison did not investigate Planned Parenthood even though evidence had surfaced that the abortion office was coaching 13-year old girls what to say when they came in for abortions so their sexual abusers would not be reported to authorities.

Morrison issued a letter to Planned Parenthood in June saying that no criminal charges would be filed against them by his office and revealing that the local District Attorney had possession of copies of abortion records subpoenaed by the Kline administration.

Morrison's recent decision to file a motion to intervene in the Planned Parenthood case appears to contradict an earlier decision of his not to interfere in a similar case due to the limits on the Attorney General's authority. In December, Sedgwick County District Attorney Nola Foulston successfully had charges dismissed against Tiller on the argument that attorneys general have no authority in a county unless invited by the local D.A. In January, Morrison apparently expressed his agreement with Foulston and withdrew a motion with the Kansas Supreme Court to reinstate the Tiller charges that had been filed by a special prosecutor appointed to the case, which he also fired.

"By withdrawing that motion, Morrison was telling everyone that he agreed with Foulston about the limitations of attorneys general in county cases," said Newman. "Only now he has made the unprecedented move to interfere in an ongoing county criminal investigation for the benefit of the target of the investigation. He shouldn't have it both ways. Morrison's hypocrisy is showing."

"Morrison benefited from an estimated total of $1 million in abortion money during his campaign," said Newman. "This move to protect Planned Parenthood from further investigation just reeks of corruption."

Did they ever get a breakdown of where Morrison’s PP money came from? I’d like to include that if I get around to writing a letter to the KC Star.

Kansas AG Morrison, like his financial backer Killer Tiller, is a dishonest, two-faced, backer of baby-butchering by any means necessary. What else is new???? At least he has left the GOP and joined the babykiller Demonrat party where he and his kind belong.

DOJ needs to put a stop to this, and start sending people to jail.

I realize that you and Herr Feldmarshal are big fans of Phill Kline but there is a lot unsaid in this story. In the first place there is no ongoing investigation of Planned Parenthood by the Johnson County DA's office. Phill investigated Planned Parenthood when he was the AG and even he couldn't find anything to bring charges against them - the only one he could charge was Tiller and even then Phill screwed that up. So when Phill took over as Johnson County DA he didn't have the legal right to take the Planned Parenthood files with him. But Phill took them anyway, hence the law suit. If Phill wants to renew his investigation he has to subpoena them in his current role. The law is the law.

Now for the funny part. It's beginning to look more and more like Phill is going to re-nig on his pledge not to seek re-election as JoCo DA in 2008. The opponents are already lining up - on both sides of the aisle - and salavating at the chance to take ol' Phill on. The will make his third electoral loss, and unless he moves out to Tennessee with DJ I don't see him making a come-back.

Why are you posting that?

It has nothing to do with this thread.

If you still wonder, try rereading my post and reference. Wagglebee pinged me and I pinged it to the Terri List from our own thread. This is my acknowledgement to his post #2. We are a Pro-Life bunch and are interested in these topics as you must be, too. That is why you are reading this thread, right?

Why did you post your post to me?

Would you like me to explain more?

Since you are a fan of Sherman's genocidal March to the Sea and likely of Old John Brown of Potowatomie Creek fame who was hanged through the efforts of Robert E. Lee and J.E.B. Stewart at Harper's Ferry, it comes as no surprise that you relentlessly propagandize as a faux "conservative" in favor of Killer Tiller and his political marionette, the Demonrat Attorney General Morrison of Kansas. Now or later, Tiller and his lackeys will be brought to justice, politically or legally and THAT will reflect the rule of law.

It also comes as no surprise that you confuse who is responsible for mass murder by referencing a Tiller/Morrison opponent as Herr anything. As I recall it was Hitler who perpetrated the Holocaust in Europe and Tiller (with his sockpuppet Morrison) in Wichita. Who did Kline kill, Skipper?????

Pro-life has everything to do with this thread. Euthanasia (for example the one forced upon Terri) and abortion are two sides of the same coin.
