It’s hard to say whether David Brooks does more harm than good. Listen carefully to some of the words that he uses when he talks about the President.

And it's why they invite him on.

Are you saying that Brit might have decided to quit because of The Shepherd?

Did I say that? Just that Brit Hume & Jim Angle left alone than everybody else.

" That could be an apocalyptic fight. "

And the reason? You are Reid and the surge is working (thanks to King David). You're thinking, "Is this my last shot?"

C-span has a fascinating interview by a Wapo correspondant and a CA professor who wrote Perfect Spy. You wouldn't believe it without seeing it. The big news is that this Viet Cong spy worked for Time magazine and all of the American journalists relied on him.

There is no consideration of how that colored the news we got. The whole conversation is a justification for the spin of the anti war movement that we were interfering on the wrong side of a nationalistic civil war.

There is a large difference between that, and what the Surrender Now Democrat pretend they would do to “redploy” forces from Iraq to Pakistan. A cross border raid we can get away with, we would seriously undermine Musharif credibility with his own people if we bullied him into letting us operate in Pakistan the way the Do Nothings claim to want.

Interesting now to consider that their are Iraqi stringers, who worked for AP in Iraq, who are in Iraqi prisons caught red handed building bombs with the Insurgents.

Seems the Leftist Anti American media hasn’t learned a thing from the 1960s and their part in creating the Killing Fields.

Bill Krystol while making a point how far left the dems have gone ... mentioned how the DNC Candidates and leaders are going to the Daily Kos Convention in August ... but non are going to the DCL Conference .. a group that Bill Clinton start and was to be the new democrats

And Juan's reply was that the extreme left position (presumably of folks like the Kossacks referenced by Bill) was now the mainstream reasonable position of most Americans.  He then trotted out the same fungible BS polls to say that 70% of American's want out of Iraq and 52% of Iraqi's say we're making things worse, not better.  Haven't both of those numbers been totally discredited literally hundreds of times?  Why don't people like Kristol, Hume or even Wallace have that info handy to correct the simple facts?  I mean, those bogus polls get used in almost every debate and the lies are allowed to stand.

Not only that, these stringers are termed as "journalists". While these stringers fall victims themselves while they picture suicide bombings, media cleverly takes credit to criticise the war at the same time - claiming many "journalists" lost their lives in this war (only that two thirds of them were stringers).

Iteresting that civil war was used then and is used now. There is no civil war in Iraq. 90% of the terrorists are foreigners.

Pray for W and Our Troops

Great catches. You need to start formatting a “Did You See This” weekly post like Anita’s nuggets. You always have great links.

I should particularly pay more attention to Flopping Aces than I do and I’m glad someone like you is pointing out some of their gems, among others.

It might even devolve into calls for violence from one fringe or the other (real or manufactured for political effect).

Ruh roh... if I had the CW2 list... I'd ping it. ;)

The beauty of the predators is that they fly as the crow flies and do not require cumbersome supply trains. I think it is truly a technological innovation that will be noted by history because it negates the huge advantage guerrilas have had in going into mountains. That is probably why there is outrage round the world when we use them. It’s just not fair. /s

BTW— we ARE fighting in Afghanistan — and we can’t really invade Pakistan.

The press just isn’t covering it. Don’t know why everyone wants to buy the MSM slant that it is not happening. Even many here at FR buy into the slant that we have slacked off in Afghanistan.

Actually, I should’ve said what kind of glazed donut.

It was a Krispy Kreme.

Not good for a diabetic to be eating, but it did fix my low blood sugar problem.
