Bill Keller, executive editor of the New York Times, calls the Bush presidency the most secretive of administrations.
Helen Thomas of UPI says [t]his is the most secretive administration I have ever covered.
Caroline Fredrickson of the ACLU says this has been the most secretive administration since the Nixon years.
Patrice McDermott, director of OpenTheGovernment.org, says it is one of the most secretive administrations in recent history.
The British Guardian Weekly calls it the most secretive administration in U.S. history.
Glenn Greenwald of Salon, call it the most secretive in history.
Is Bush really so secretive, and if so, so what?
It seems to be more leaky than secretive.
THANK GOD they are secretive! Or thought to be so. The liberals (commies) would have our enemies knowing EVERYTHING.
How quickly they for get Hillerycare and all the other secrets from the Clinton regime.
Let’s see... we’re at war with people who use propaganda and terrorism as weapons. I wish the Bush Administration could have been as secretive as the Roosevelt Administration. Now we have more people hating Bush than OBL. Who’s winning?
could it be we are in a real, an actual war, and not everything is for public consumption?
Coincidence that all who are complaining are liberal or “hate” or are highly critical of the Bush Administration?
Just an observation.
Sabotage By Rowan Scarborough - Here’s a excerpt.
* How CIA analysts repeatedly leak details about classified intelligence programs with the dual intent of ending them and damaging the president
* How, on at least eight occasions, intelligence officials have made serious allegations of wrongdoing against the president’s men—which turned out to be false
* Why, contrary to popular belief, the CIA has become predominantly liberal
* How a CIA turf battle prevented special operators from pursuing and capturing a notorious Taliban leader
* How current and former CIA officers fueled conspiracy theories that President Bush orchestrated the 9/11 attacks on America
* How a CIA leak to the New York Times deprived the U.S. of critical information in the War on Terror
* How press leaks by the CIA have damaged relations with our foreign allies in the War on Terror
* How a CIA analyst worked with Democrats to sabotage the nomination of John Bolton to the UN
* How Clinton’s downsizing of the CIA led to the closing of stations in scores of jihadist breeding grounds—including Hamburg, Germany, where the 9/11 plot was hatched
Who hired Craig Livingstone?
What happened to the hard drives in the Travel Office?
The four federal agents killed at Waco used to be whose bodyguard?
The Rose Law Firm billing records were found where?
I’m sorry I’m afraid I cannot recall at the moment.
Reporters like to be spoon-fed the news. If they aren’t, they accuse “the Authorities” of being secretive.
Blame the real enemies of this country..the drive by
media and their constant bashing of our President,
this has a trickle dowqn effect on the Military and
our allies....this is devastating and the ones that
continue the downword slope are the ....Dems in the
Senate...Pelosi works with all of them to ....keep
the pot boiling...jj
translation, reporters don’t get leaks.
I like the literary montage.
However this is rich considering the NYT would keep Harry Potter’s secrets but not the real world military secrets.
Hey I’m not a big fan of the CIA so nothing in that book would surprise me. But I’d still like to know why Porter Goss came and went in a mere 7 months.
Why, contrary to popular belief, the CIA has become predominantly liberal
I have feared this for a long time!!!!
Given the pro-terrorist scum complaining, one can only feel better at knowing that the administration is secretive! Gimme a break and let’s talk about how open Hitlery’s admninstration would be (man the thought is so scary I’m almost missing Bubba!!!! OK never mind, this is getting me confused! ;-)))
there was the u.s. state department of the truman admin, riddled with leftover commies from the fdr enlightenment,
that gave u.s. military secrets to the chicoms during the korean war,
often before our troops on the ground had even gotten their orders.
richard nixon rightfully was wary of the the state department, and left them out of a lot of his decision making.
so, the bush admin is just pragmatic.
These CIA people who couldn't’t get it right before 911 are now out to make sure Bush doesn't’t get credit for anything.
They work hand in hand with the democrat party who right now are literally running scared. Things are going a lot better in Iraq in spite of the democrats and they are panicking.
