Has Murtha no sense of decency?
Washington Observer-Reporter ^ | 7-26-07 | Stephen Cady

Has Murtha no

sense of decency?

Recently, Lt. Col. Paul Ware, an investigator in the Haditha massacre case, issued a report recommending charges be dropped against Lance Cpl. Justin Sharratt. Not long ago, Congressman John P. Murtha locally declared the Marines guilty. This was done shortly after the incident hit the news and was based on the testimony of locals making the charges and before all the facts could be taken into evidence. The report specifically questions their credibility, since forensic results were inconsistent with the execution-style murders the locals claimed.

In his abominable, politically motivated actions, Murtha acted as "judge, jury, prosecutor, castigator and press agent, all in one."

All I can say is, "Until this moment, Congressman, I never really gauged your cruelty or your recklessness. Let us not further assassinate this lad, Congressman. You have done enough. Have you no sense of decency?"

If this sounds vaguely familiar it should. Substitute "Senator" for "Congressman" and you have the words spoken by lawyer Joseph Welch on June 9, 1954. The earlier quote was attributed to Harvard law dean Ervin Griswald. They referred to and were addressed to Senator Joseph R. McCarthy.

I now address that question to the supporters of Murtha, because we know his answer, judging by the lack of a public apology: Have you no sense of decency?

This was a pleasant surprise in my local paper this morning. This newspaper, The Washington Observer-Reporter, circulates through home delivery and box and counter sales in a large segment of Murtha's congressional district.

Murtha local letter to the editor ping! This may be encouraging to the Murtha Watch, pingees, guys. The locals are waking up, and the local paper is having a harder time suppressing the truth.

Hell, I’d be happy to find some indication he has a sense of ‘reality’.

I do not care that he is a congressman. He wrongfully and intentionally accused a person of murder. That in my book is actionable defamation and he should be sued.

Actually, the comparison of Murtha to McCarthy is inappropriate. McCarthy was a patriot, Murtha is a traitor.

But to the many rubes (2/3's dem) who read this rag, the comparison will make some of them think poorly of Murtha, and that's helpful. From the letter writer's point of view, it makes sense.

Have you [Murtha] no sense of decency?

Decency? Surely you jest.

John Murtha proves conclusively that there really is such thing as an ex-Marine.

A lot of Murtha voters will be hearing about this today for the first time. The editorial page editor stuck his neck out by publishing this letter. I doubt that could have happened without a shift occuring above his paygrade. It's a good sign.

Meanwhile you just know the countless scumbags out there who want to destroy America are gleeful over seeing how divided we are, and that a large segment of this nation has lost its will to stand up to the bad guys. No wonder they are emboldened. Then the lefties have the nerve to say “Bush has made us less safe!”

"Actually, the comparison of Murtha to McCarthy is inappropriate. McCarthy was a patriot, Murtha is a traitor."

McCarthy was also mostly correct. Murtha is totally corrupt and should be in prison for ABSCAM.

Murtha ranks with the lowest category of political prostitutes. When he was snared by the FBI in the ABSCAM sting he testified against two colleagues in a deal to avoid prosecution. Labeled for years as a “hawk” by the news media, Murtha turned against the military in a shameless, utterly disgusting public display to try and gain the House speakership. As for his “war hero” status, here’s a link:

Murtha needs to be dumped with the rest of the garbage in 2008.

Agreed, Red. The local voters have not been getting the truth from the local media. I sense a “shift in the force”!

Remember this? :....

“What we still don’t understand is why you Americans stopped the bombing
of Hanoi. You had us on the ropes. If you had pressed us a little
harder, just for another day or two, we were ready to surrender! It was
the same at the battles of TET. You defeated us! We knew it, and we
thought you knew it. But we were elated to notice your media were
definitely helping us. They were causing more disruption in America
than we could in the battlefields. We were ready to surrender. You had
won!”

Bump for a shift in the force!

In retrospect, I think some Irey rooters in 06 made a mistake in thinking that voters in PA-12 knew all about Code Pink and Murtha’s “they killed innocent civilians in cold blood” speech. We’ve still got a lot of educating to do!

The most difficult barrier to Irey victory was local media. If you remember, the Irey campaign had almost daily press releases in the last three weeks of the campaign. All local media recieved them, none were reported.

The Irey ground game alone, although formidable, could not make up the gap created by the suppression of truth by the media.

Murtha’s got his own ground game going with the local press, no question.

Sometimes I think we just need a candidate to declare, “I’ll out-pork Murtha!”. Whoever runs against Murtha in 08 already has the patriot vote. We just need to win over more of the pork-bone suckers and he’s history!

Tip of the Day!...

In case you neighborhood is trending Democrat, this is what to do. -——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————

HOW TO INSTALL A HOME SECURITY SYSTEM:

1. Go to a second-hand store and buy a pair of men’s used size 14-16
work boots.

2. Place them on your front porch, along with several empty beer cans,
a copy of Guns & Ammo magazine and several NRA magazines.

3. Put a few giant dog dishes next to the boots and magazine.

4. Leave a note on your door that reads: Hey Bubba, Big Jim, Duke and Slim, I went to the gun shop for more ammunition. Back in an hour. Don’t mess with the pit bulls — they attacked the mailman this morning and messed him up real bad. I don’t think Killer took part in it but it was hard to tell from all the blood.

PS - I locked all four of ‘em in the house. Better wait outside.

Joke of the Day!.....

High Tech Restaurant:

A man walked into a very high-tech restaurant in a fancy hotel.

As he waited to be seated, he noticed that the Maitre D’ was a robot.

The robot clicked to attention and said, “Sir, there is a one hour wait. And I am programmed to converse with you until a table is ready, If you please.”

Intrigued, the man said, “OK.”

The robot clicked a couple more times and then asked,Sir, what is your IQ?”

The man answered, “Oh, about 164.”

The robot then proceeded to discuss the theory of relativity, Interstellar space travel, the latest medical breakthroughs, etc.

The man was most impressed. The next day he returned, But thought he would try a different tack.

The robot again asked, “What is your IQ, sir?” This time the man answered, “Oh, about 100”.

So the robot started discussing NASCAR racing, the latest
basketball Scores, and what to expect the Red Sox to do this weekend.

The guy had to try it on e more time. So the next day he returned.

Again the robot asked the question, “What is your IQ?”

This time the man drawled out, “ Uh... ‘bout 50.”

The robot clicked, then leaned close and very slowly asked,

“A-r-e

y-o-u-r

p-e-o-p-l-e

g-o-i-n-g

t-o

n-o-m-i-n-a-t-e

H-i-l-l-a-r-y?”
