Hmmm. Somehow they don't look like they're hiding in the shadows, fearing deportion, to me.

“It might be the equivalent of a green card,” Specter said Thursday. “The main thrust is to bring the 12 million out of the shadows,” and eliminate the fear of arrest or deportation”

A “Green Card” (Alien Registration Card) IS a “path to citizenship”

Why is there a need to “eliminate the fear of arrest or deportation” for 25,000,000 illegasl aliens?

They have committed crimes..there are laws in this country...with penalties built in..

What about the American citizens who commit crimes? Do they get AMNESTY also? Are you interested in equal treatment under the law?

“Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.).....suggested that he was skeptical of creating a class of workers with no opportunity to seek citizenship”

UMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

Lindsey thaat’s what “guest workers” are....They are only here temporarily and THEN THEY GO BACK HOME...

"We litigated amnesty and that lost," Specter said.

But they all said it wasn't amnesty.

These creeps will not just give up!

I wore my fingers to the bone just trying to get Senator Lucifer Lugar to step out of the clubhouse and look around. That didn't work; he's still a traitor.

What's a citizen to do???

I wonder if this Arlen Spectacle was a price for a specter of support Bush gave this ghoul against a good conservative?

He's a ghoul without a conscience. You're right, it wouldn't take much at all for him to oppose conservatives.

Under the shadows of those little maples in the parking lot islands at Home Depot.

Yes indeed, this Congress is as traitorous as they come...except for a very few...and in my opinion, the last sentence in your post also applies to “the king”in the white house...as a famous saying Pres.Harry Truman had on his desk said.....”the buck stops here”. When it comes to the turmoil in this country over open borders and giving amnesty to the bunch of illegals is concerned....give the credit where credit is due....and how terribly sad is that.

“Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), who helped negotiate the failed comprehensive bill, suggested that he was skeptical of creating a class of workers with no opportunity to seek citizenship.”

Ok dimwit, without a secure border...allowing 6000 to 10,000 illegals to waltz across every week..............doesn’t THAT create a class of workers with no opportunity to seek citizenship?

WTF?

If you feel you MUST do something...offer them work permits...AFTER you secure the effin border you idiot.

“Specter said conservatives who last month derailed a comprehensive immigration bill might accept his plan because it would not allow the 12 million to seek citizenship status.”

Like Hell we’ll accept it! The fact is that we don’t want them here period. They broke our laws coming here, continue to break our laws, and continue to disrespect us, our laws, and our Nation.

If they want to be U.S. Citizens, then get in line and do it legally.

What difference would this make? Would it remove multiple vehicles in front of every house in my neighborhood (thanks to banks no longer requiring social security number for mortgages)?

Would it remove the foul mouthed, racist, noisy people in the next office where I work? Will I no longer have to listen to chants of "White women ain't got nothing on us" or "We kick a@@"? I

I think not. Only enforcing the border will restore normalcy.

"We litigated amnesty and that lost," Specter said.

So now that it's been voted down, Specter admits it was amnesty after all they did was deny it was, while there was still a chance of fooling people and passing it.

What does he call this one? NOT amnesty again? Just legalizing the illegal? Does he think that we have not figured out who will be picking up the tab for their legally being eligible for all the programs that citizens are able to access?

Good grief, wasn’t this dimwit dying of brain cancer a couple of years ago? Hmmm, maybe a subpar ineffective Socialist healthcare system would do some good afterall.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), who helped negotiate the failed comprehensive bill, suggested that he was skeptical of creating a class of workers with no opportunity to seek citizenship.

"Europe has paid a heavy price for that stuff," Graham said.

Pandsey just keeps digging a deeper hole.

Only the best medical care (and everything else including squash courts) for Arlen and the Boys. That Socialist Hillary-care rationed health system is all the taxpaying peons like you and I deserve. Just ask them. And of course we’ll be expected to ante up for half of this hemisphere’s health care as well. It’s only fair.

Specter said conservatives who last month derailed a comprehensive immigration bill might accept his plan because it would not allow the 12 million to seek citizenship status.
"We litigated amnesty and that lost," Specter said.
Specter's pitch comes as the Senate voted Thursday to add $3 billion to the homeland security appropriations bill for border security measures.

This is progress.

“The main thrust is to bring the 12 million out of the shadows,”

Apparently the good Sneator doesn’t realize they ALREADY HAVE LEGAL STATUS.

Here’s proof:

If some here illegally can sue us in court, they already have all they need...by judicial decree.
