Vice President Dick Cheney Tuesday dismissed congressional investigations into the firings of nine U.S. attorneys as "a bit of a witch hunt." Cheney also backed Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, who has come under fire for his role in the firings. "Al's a good man," Cheney told CNN's Larry King in an interview airing tonight.

I could find a few things to take Cheney to task over, but the guy is one tough cookie. There isn’t one person on the left qualified to take him on. If he’s on Larry King, I hope he sticks into to the left and twists.
