Four College Friends Shot in New Jersey-(executed)

NEWARK, N.J. (Aug. 6) - In a city where gun violence has become an all too common part of daily life, these shootings were enough to chill even the most hardened residents: Four young friends shot execution-style in a schoolyard just days before they were to head to college

Three were killed after being forced to kneel against a wall and then shot in the head at close range Saturday night, police said. A girl was found slumped near some bleachers 30 feet away, a gunshot wound to the head but still alive.

The four Newark residents were to attend Delaware State University this fall. No arrests had been made by Monday and authorities had not identified suspects.

The shootings ratcheted up anger in New Jersey's largest city, where the murder rate has risen 50 percent since 1998. The high number of killings have prompted billboards in the downtown area that scream, "HELP WANTED: Stop the Killings in Newark Now!"

Note the first words of the story:

"In a city where gun violence"

Yup, it's those EVIL GUNS that did this. Took themselves right out onto the street and shot those people all by themselves...

More dangerous than Iraq it would appear. But, no holding breath, while we wonder if Demrats will protest the ‘innocent lives lost’. . .

These murders will be considered normal after Islam takes over one city at a time.
The MSM will call them "justifiable" honor killings so that the
Muslims will kill them last, just after they take over their
media stations.

Just out of curiosity, what is Corzine doing about crime in NJ?

New Jersey has one of the toughest gun-control laws on the books. Even retired police can't get a carry permit there. (That's why they move to Delaware.)

Prayers for the families of the victims.

The official line is that the crime decline in the 90s was due to Clinton’s 100,000 cops, and that any violence now is a function of W cutting that part of the budget. I got the memo.

There’s nothing humorous about this.

***”That program was created under President Clinton to put more officers on the street. ***

Not so! This program was created to get congressional votes for the “assault rifle” ban. Flash some money in front of congress’ eyes for crime control and then you have them!

The same thing was used in 1968 to get the 1968 Gun Control act passed. Throw some money at the states for “crime control” and you have them!

Looks like one of the local gangs has 3 new members - and one candidate for membership that didn’t qualify.

Does this suggest a cure?

I'm sorry, but a needle prick in the arm is cruel and unusual punishment. You should be ashamed, picking on misunderstood, underprivileged youts. I thumb my nose at you! (Ouch, accidental finger in eye.)

That cop funding program was something else. I was (and still am) on a city council in a small town in Iowa. We decided not to partake in the program back in the day.

Several months later, we actually got a rather terse letter, basically chewing us out for not taking their money. Wish I woulda kept that letter, it was rather amusing. Kinda like those selective service notes--if you don't sign up, you won't get student aid, blah blah blah.

My oldest was born in a Newark hospital (we lived in neighboring Bloomfield) and I am so, so happy to be out of NJ for a host of reasons not limited to violence, taxes, liberalism and bad driving. Took a wrong turn in Camden once - good gravy, we were unnerved.

‘The black illegitimacy rate in NJ is at about 73%. Most of the kids don’t know where or even who their fathers are.” ........ Without these people, what would Maury Povich do for a living?

The only people who can clean up the sordid, hideous mess in America’s inner cities today are those who now make up the majority of the populations within them. They could if they would, but they simply won’t. And that’s all there is to it.

Our cities were once the pride of our nation — until those who now live in them took them over. If the majority indigenous populations don’t decide on their own to clean up the mess their own people have made, there is little that the rest of us can do to help. And one day very soon, most of America’s inner cities will be uninhabitable and unnavigatable by good, decent people.

Yet even then, I would wager, many if not most of those who live there will take great pride in being from “da hood.” It’s all very sad when you see some of the few who try to escape caught up in the cultural nightmare so many of their own brothers and sisters have deliberately created, and others have condoned or even encouraged.

I do not condone the killing of anyone. But I believe they knew what they were doing and were killed because they went to an area of Newark to buy drugs.
